We decide to climb La Rocca first thing in the morning when the temperatures were low. Even in November it's a warm climb, so it must be exhausting in the summer. We only went as far as the temple of Diana, which is about half way up. There are plenty of stops along the way, with some sign boards in... More

The climb up La Rocca is almost unending, so you will be exhausted long before you reach the top. Some of the route is difficult and a little dangerous, so move slowly. The views are stupendous. The historic sites worthwhile.

It's not a difficult hill to climb, there are stairs when it's getting really steep. The ruins at the top guarantee a great background for pictures, but the most stunning reward is the view over the sea and the town.

We enjoyed the climb up and down. The ruins were interesting. Fantastic views of sea, Cefalu, and the mountainous countryside! It took about 1.5 hours total time.. price of 4 euros is quite reasonable. Please reinvest a few of those euros and fix the information placards. The Italian versions are so faded they are essentially absent. The English versions are... More

Little hike up to La Rocca, but it s worth to do that. Amazing outlooks (360 degrees at the top). Interesting history, unfortunately some of the info s aren t in a good condition. It s a must in my opinion.

I'm not really sure this is the exact place to put this commentary but the creation done by the architect Antonio Foscari in 1978 was too exceptional not to review. The view is breathtaking and certainly worth the walk up. I can only imagine what it would be like to see a theatrical production given here with actors and lights.

This is a somewhat challenging hike to do in it's entirety, but well worth the effort in October. Not sure in the heat of summer. They have some benches to stop at along the way. It took us about 2 hours to do, and we were very glad we did.

After a wonderful lunch of seafood overlooking the water, we headed off for a hike up the rock. 4Euros each and we were off. Up and Up and Up.....lots of steps, to ancient ruins, the temple of Diana and beautiful vistas. Worth the effort but probably not on a really hot day.

A lovely way to spend a morning in Cefalu. A good hike up to the top, with wonderful views and plenty of ruins to look at. Set off early and give yourself a good 3 hours to take it all in - you won't regret it!

Wonderful hike with beautiful vistas and ancient ruins. Costs 4 euros and takes about 2-3 hours if you go slowly and savor the views.
