To walk up this big cliff/mountain is really worth it. We spent 2 hours here, going up, looking at the historic places and the stunning view, taking pauses and going down. It costs 4 euros per person to walk up so bring money. Before you go make sure you've used a bathroom as there aren't any on the way up... More

The most amazing and stunning view on the coastline, town and sea! A must if in Cefalu. Easy climbing in about 30-40 min from the old town to the top.

But when you get there, it's fantastic (we're in our 60s and can manage it so you youngies should be fine). NOT for a hot day though! The ruins are restored to a point, but it's the views that take your breath away. If you can take a picnic with then it's a lovely spot to do so.

We went there with three kids 5-10. Had brought a lot of water, ended up pouring most of it over the kids to cool them down. Used one hour to get to the top. Then two hours to explore and descend. Very nice views, definately worth it. Also if you stop at the lower ruins, which Are only half way.... More

The way up was pretty short but a bit steep. However worth the trouble! With the sun shinning the view from the top is beautiful. Showing the charm of the city and its coast. The ruins, as the name says, where just ruins and there is not much left to see due to progressive weathering, but there is a lot... More

Nice park, maintaned paths and historical structur. Sad to see that several of the nice signs by the old structure around in the park was vandalized. Very nice and informative wooden road signs around/along the paths. Though but nice walk to the top. Do remember to bring water! And do wear proper shoes/boots, flip/flops are not recomnended!

After leaving the stairs you climb in the raw rocks of ancient times. You see amazing hills and dunes. We felt like be part of the Lord of the Rings. The view and feeling to be on the top worth all the effort.

Wear good walking shoes for this as some paths are stony/rocks. Take water. Takes about 1 hour to the top depending how fit you are.

We were told to plan on 1.5 hours to see it all, but we spent about 3 hours hiking around exploring the ruins of the fortress and the ancient greek temple. Views were amazing. Pack a picnic and enjoy at the top of the castle. Go first thing if you are there in the summer.

Awesome experience. I do recommend it for those willing to do a hike. You do have to take a couple of bottles of water with you, as it gets pretty hot there.
