This was a trip of a lifetime made possible by Maurizio and his Taste of Tuscany company. We had the “Grand Tour of Tuscany” which I would highly recommend. Maurizio secured fabulous hard to get lunch and dinner reservations in the most beautiful settings for us. He had wonderful tour guides arranged in each city and special experiences such as a private cooking lesson with a renowned chef in Florence! Nothing was too much too ask of Maurizio. He was always on time and available at the asking for anything we needed. He drove a very spacious, comfortable and clean Mercedes Sprinter van which my family of six and sometimes eight fit in very comfortably.
At the end of our two week vacation, we all considered Maurizio part of the family. I did a lot of research before booking this tour and I certainly was not disappointed. He was the best tour guide we’ve ever had! He is a true ambassador for his beautiful country. If you are considering hiring Maurizio, I say you can do so with no hesitation and you will be blown away by your experience in Italy!

Third year in a row I am using Tuscany Taste tour for custom tours around Tuscany and north of Italy, and they exceed my expectations every time. Today, I had a private transfer from Milan to Portofino with a stop in Pavia and a wine tasting at Bine winery. The experience was above all praise; the luxury car was very new, clean, and comfortable; the driver punctual, attentive, and very considerate despite poor weather (heavy rains) and traffic.
The winery Tuscany Taste Tour chose for tasting was perfect, truly personalized experience.

We were lucky enough to spend a week touring Tuscany with Tuscany Taste Tour. From our first contact with Maurizio, we knew he listened to what we were hoping to see and do, and put together an amazing tour that was tailored to the things we enjoy, with real consideration as to our mobility concerns. Maurizio and his coworker Leonardo are not only professional, great drivers and extremely knowledgeable about the Tuscan region, they are also two of the nicest people you will ever meet. Throughout the week they continued to ensure that we were comfortable, and they were more than willing to make changes to our itinerary to guarantee we had the best experiences. Maurizio secured guides for us in Florence and Sienna that were extremely knowledgeable, and we learned so much more than we would have if we toured these cities on our own. Maurizio’s accommodation recommendation was top notch and his help with dinner reservations allowed us to experience a couple of spectacular restaurants in Florence that we would not have been able to get into on our own. This will not be our last trip to Italy, and we look forward to another wonderful trip with Taste Tuscany Tour.

My sister and I did a day tour from the Port of Livorno to Piza and Florence. Maurizio was a fantastic guide. We were met promptly at our ship and chauffeured in a Mercedes van for the 9 hour excursion. Maurizio is so knowledgeable of every point of interest, PLUS! Cold water and every comfort was provided. We had an absolutely memorable day- I can’t think of anything that would have made it better. He accommodated every aspect of the experience to make it a fun and enjoyable experience, with so much to absorb. The sights are unforgettable. Or ship had an amazing itinerary, but this day stands out thanks to the customization and experience brought by this tour guide. His professionalism and quality stands out among the rest! Eccellente!!

Our first time in Italy so we asked Maurizio for recommendations on a route and vineyards to visit. He hit a home run! He drove us into the countryside and pointed out all the high points, as well as taking us off the beaten path to have us experience some of the most breathtaking views in Montalcino! He took us to Fanti Vineyard and everyone knew him and treated us like family with the tastings flowing of many wines not on the tasting list. We loved it so much they offered us to stay for lunch and it was outstanding. From the charcuterie to the freshly made soup and finished by the most incredible pasta ragout we have ever eaten.
You cannot choose a better guide or a more knowledgeable person than Maurizio. We would highly recommend.

Well again, this tour was outstanding! Maurizio picked-up us at the scheduled time at the cruise port to begin this beautiful journey to San Gimignano. The ride to get there was breathtaking and the explanations we received from Maurizio were very interesting. He knows his country and surroundings very well. He speaks English fluently but we also spoke in Italian. He's a very careful driver. The visit at the winery was very interesting and the food amazing. Beautiful surroundings!! The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The lunch was sooooo delicious and the pairing with the wines was fantastic. This tour was carefully planned and we would use Maurizio's services again to visit this beautiful region of Italy. We dealt with his company again because we were impressed by the quality of the services we received years ago to visit Cinqueterre.

We did a Tuscany wine tasting, San Gimignano, and Volterra tour with Maurizio and it was fantastic. He picked us up from the boat in Livorno and took us thru the Tuscany countryside to San Gimignano giving us lots of good information on the way. Dropped us off for an hour and a half free time to explore this incredible town. Next it was on to the Tenuta Torciano Winery which was also a fabulous experience with great wine and food, then on to another mountain top town of Volterra, it started raining going there and Maurizio of course had umbrellas for us. On the way back to the boat we saw more great scenery and countryside and received great information about the great country of Italy and other towns along the way back. If I could give more than 5 stars I would because it was a fabulous time. Thanks again Maurizio!!! Hope to see you again.

We took the Pisa and Cinqueterre tour from Livorno with Leonard. Communication with the company was easy and we received booking confirmation within 24 hours. Leonard was already waiting for us when we stepped off the ship. We had plenty of time to walk around and climb the tower before heading to 3 of the 5 lands in Cinque Terre. The vehicle was spotless clean with very strong air conditioning, which is a must after walking in the summer heat. I highly recommend this tour!

This tour was amazing. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable; they were also very accommodating to a large group with young kids. . We saw all the main sites and loved Pisa the most. The transportation was safe and comfortable! We recommend this tour and this company highly!

This was our second time with Maurizio and it was just as amazing as our first tour with him 10 years ago. We did a Brunello wine tasting and had a wonderful lunch along with strolling through Montalcino. Day 2 was a tour of Parma ham, followed by a delicious tasting. Next we tasted and toured a basalmic vinegar acetaia, also delicious. All along the way, Maurizio made things happen, explained the culture, and made excellent restaurant recommendations. Highly recommended and hope to use Italy Taste Tours again someday!

We visited Greve and Montefiorale and one other town. Had a private lunch at a winery and loved it. If you contact Maurizio he will give you many options. We took the Chianti tour.
