Lunch and Tasting at the Winery
This was our second trip to this winery. We came back based on the great experience we had the last time. Our guide gave us a tour of the facility and then sat us down to a multi-course lunch and tasting of their wines. The food was outstanding (what would one expect?). The tastings were full glasses, not the little sips that most places give. Given the amount of wine consumed it was wise of us to hire a driver. We ordered a number of wines that were conveniently shipped to our home. All in all, a very enjoyable day.
    thank you very much!!

    Winery and luncheon
Excellent wine and the lunch provided was delicious and paired perfectly with different wines. Dessert and dessert liquor. Wines were reasonably priced and I was able to order to be shipped to the US in a timely manner.
    Thank you very much!

    A Delightful Surprise
Several years ago, while vacationing in Tuscany for a week-long cooking program called "Let's Go Cook Italian," we sought to spend one of our free days touring the Chianti region. We hired a driver to take us to several towns and to arrange a wine tasting as part of our day's adventure. She chose to take us to Poggio Amorelli, a favorite of hers, which turned out to be the highlight of our day. The winery is situated on a high point, affording beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. We were welcomed and treated like family by the owners. We did our tasting seated at table, with accompaniments to the selection of wines we tasted. We were so impressed with the wines, the service, and the friendliness of the family, that we decided to place an order and have wine shipped back to the United States. We have since, on several occasions, ordered wine from Poggio Amorelli, especially during the holidays. And now, we have joined their wine club and will be expecting shipments of their excellent wines twice a year. You cannot go wrong if you choose to visit this family-owned winery in Chianti. It will be an experience you will treasure and you'll want to recommend the winery to others.
    Thank you very much Carol!!

A very lovely afternoon touring this winery. Great food, good wine, great ambiance. We learned much about the process of making wine, then enjoyed a lovely meal, and wine tasting. My children, who range from ages 15 to 32 all enjoyed it as well. We would definitely recommend this tour and visit again.

An excellent service, the gentleman in charge of our tour offers us a lot of information about the kind of wines they offered, Included in his talk he offer information about an excellent vinegar. My family and I enjoyed a lot and bought different kinds of wines that were sent to our house in Florida USA.

This is a wonderful little winery in Chianti. The wines are all quite enjoyable- difficult to choose a favorite between Chianti Classico and Marco’s Super Tuscan. Marco is the consummate host. He came to our table, engaged us with his Italian version of English ( an effort not lost on us as our English was atrocious) and went to his cellar to break out a special edition ST which we all enjoyed immensely. A wonderful stop with great wine and even greater hosts.

The instruction/tour was thorough and very educational and we left the winery with a much greater appreciation for the Chianti region and its wines. Lunch was also outstanding and the wine pairings were excellent. The only reason we didn’t rank 5 stars was that I found Poggio wine at a cheaper cost on the internet once we returned to the US.

The food was amazing. The staff was very impressive. Our tour guide from the winery would seamlessly switch between languages. It was very impressive. The wine was amazing I personally prefer the Chianti Classico Reserve and will be ordering a few more crates to be shipped back to the states. One of my favorite places we visited in Italy!

We couldn't have asked for a better time. The staff at Poggio Amorelli was most welcoming and entertaining. The food was great and the wine was even better. Their wine prices for shipping internationally was very affordable and the staff made the process for first time international buyers extremely easy. We will continue to buy and ship their wine and we hope one day to make another trip to Chianti and visit the winery. We would highly recommend.

Deciding to have lunch here was a last minute decision and we were so glad we did it!! The entire family, including our children in their 20’s, are still talking about it. Each course of food, which was plentiful, was accompanied by a recommended wine from their winery. I can’t say enough about this experience! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I now eat a special honey (that I bought there) and apricot jam with cheese! I would have never thought to do this until they brought out a cheese plate with several cheeses and several things to dip them in. The courses include different bruschetta, meat tray, salad, pasta, cheese plate, dessert. We had a driver for the day. He had his company call ahead for a reservation. Well worth every penny. (It was 50 Euros each)

What an addition to our Tuscan vacation this was! I would glady come back to visit this vineyard again. The view as we dined and sampled their magnificent wines was breathtaking. The food was incredible as well. The family and staff was friendly and welcoming and they made it easy for us to have the wines shipped to our home. My husband and I visited along with our twenty-eight year old daughter who enjoyed the experience as much as we did.

If you have not been to Poggio Amorelli Winery, you are missing out on an experiece of a life time. From the moment you set foot into the winery you are greeted and feel like part of their family. The food, the hospitality and of course the fantastic wine do not have enough words to say how good they are. We have shipped to us every other month, because we have yet to find a wine this good.
