Three course meals served with our family in the better tradition of italian cuisine and hospitality. Truffle hunting with us, learning how to find, clean and prepare them, tasting truffle recipies and sipping our Chianti Classico wine

If you are a foodie or just like the outdoors this is a must do. We stayed at Masseto in Chianti and while there they arranged a truffle hunt along with a truffle inspired dinner to follow. We worked up an appetite foraging through the forest looking for truffles. After our successful hunt, we meet up at the home of the owner of Masseto in Chianti, to learn how to make pasta, and prepare the truffle inspired dinner. It was a wonderful day and evening hosted by wonderful people..

We stayed at Masseto in Chanti in September 2018 to explore the Tuscany region. Aside from a great home base location, our hosts arranged a Truffle Hunt with a local guide followed by pasta dinner made there on the estate incorporating our smelly but oh so tasty finds. Our host accompanied us as our guide did not speak English, which was actually quite refreshing after being in some touristy areas. We had two happy and enthusiastic dogs who did the work while we wandered and hiked along after them. It was refreshing to be out in the woods enjoying the spirit of the hunt.
Back at the Estate that evening, we and our hosts made Egg Yolk Raviolo with piped Ricotta and shaved truffle from the days hunt. The pasta with the fresh truffle was AMAZING! They shared some of their delicious d'Aubert Chianti Classico made from their grapes and olive oil from their trees. The whole day was fabulous and one of the highlights of our trip.
If you're in Italy, go stay at Masseto in Chianti and experience the truffle hunt and dinner. It'll be a unique and wonderful experience to tell your friends and family.
