Wonderl Virtual Tasting Experience
Sep 2020
My wife and I visited the winery in October 2019 and fell in love with Silvano's wines! We were so impressed with his passion and knowledge to say nothing about how great his wine and other products are. We are planning to return if COVID permits in the Spring.
We had an incredible "virtual tasting" yesterday and it was like being at Tenuta Casanova not on your computer monitor. Silvano shipped everything and we spent almost 2 hrs with him and Rita and one of our daughter's and son-in-law enjoying his wine to the fullest. Silvano made us feel like we were at the winery. We provided the pairings according to what Silvano suggested and truly had a wonderful time. It was an amazing afternoon in these crazy times of COVID. This is a must for everyone to do. We are also impressed by Silvano and Rita's humanitarian intrests, they are beautiful people! My wife and daughter and our other daughter's are going to try a "virtual cooking experience" with Rita next. I can only say Grazie Mile to you for this!

Incredible Online “Zoom” Tasting 9 years later
Aug 2020 • Couples
We visited Tenuta Casanova in 2011 where we did a day of cooking classes and wine, olive oil and balsamic tasting (among many other things). Recently reconnected with Silviano and Rita and agreed to do an “online tasting” we in Texas 7pm our time and Silvano and Rita in Tuscany at 2am theirs!
Our friends were absolutely blown away with the quality of the organic - sulphite free wines. Magnifico!!! “Fall in love” sparkling/champagne method, Chianti Classico, varios Super Tuscans including the “magnum” Magnificat. Silvano has been making balsamic vinegar for close to four decades. Impossible to describe the sublimeness of 30 year old balsamic!
Wonderful.

Wonderful wine tasting in Chianti
Oct 2019
We spent a great morning eating, drinking and learning a lot about Tenuta Casanova. Silvano gave us a tour and an enology lesson that was great. Silvano is very enthusiastic about his profession. We have never been to a winery where we enjoyed the atmosphere and the wine and food like this. The wines were pared with a delicious meal prepared by Silvano's wife perfectly. Living in California we go to the wineries up North but nothing compared to our visit. The aged balsamic vinegar is fabulous. It is wonderful over ice cream! The truffle oil over scrambled eggs is delicious. We ordered and just received a shipment that we placed and can't wait to start drinking it!!! I am sold on a new winery to add to my collection

Lovely tasting here. We did not experience the full meal as we had just come from another winery. We did have delicious wine and would recommend the tasting.

Wonderful lunch and cellar visit
Oct 2019
My friends and I recently had a lovely visit to Tenuta Casanova. We started with a short tour of the grounds and cellar with Tatiana, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds are beautiful, and we enjoyed the balsamic vinegar tasting. Then on to a delicious multi-course lunch with wine tastings. Each course was amazing and we thought the lunch was very reasonably priced (50 euros).

Fabulous!
Oct 2019
My husband and I spent a few days at the agritourismo Romitorio di Serelle, located about 5 minutes from Casanova. We had a very delicious lunch here, after touring the cellars, and getting a wonderful history of the property, and the proprietors. The tastings of the many products (organically grown) was an absolute delight to the senses! The lunch was wonderful!!! Next time in Tuscany, I would LOVE to do a cooking class here (they book up months in advance!)

Excellent food and experience in a beautiful location. Everyone at the farm was so friendly and helpful and we made the most delicious feast to eat in the vineyards. We got to tour the balsamic and wine rooms which smelled amazing. We got to keep our recipes and we learned some excellent tips from Silvano's wife, who is a brilliant cook.

Fantastic
Sep 2019 • Couples
Our tour, tasting and lunch were superb! Silvano gave us a tour, history of the property and his story. Besides wine, with grapes harvested by hand, he produces olive oil and balsamic vinegars organically. They were so fresh and delicious.. His wife prepared a marvelous lunch and was served on a terrace overlooking the vineyards. Each course was served with the appropriate wine and explained as to why it went with that specific good. It was a wonderful day and highly recommended.

Left a bad taste
Sep 2019 • Couples
Tour of the winery lasted about 5 min. We ate lunch outside and had an amazing view of the land. Food was delicious. Apple and honey balsamic vinegar was amazing and we were going to buy a 55 EUR bottle but the experience with the salesperson in the shop turned us off from it. For the lunch they wanted us to pay 100 EUR is cash, and we asked if we could pay with CC but they pushed hard for us to pay in cash. I didn’t really understand the reasoning, the lady said something about taxes. Seems like they were trying to avoid paying taxes by having a cash transaction? Not sure. Not a good way to end our meal so we left without buying anything else.
