We were last here in 2011 when Silvano just started up. Out was great to return after all this time, and experience the vineyard's atmosphere, friendly and enthusiastic hosts. We were primarily looked after by a lady called Lavinia, who was very knowledgable and pleasant. Silvano was always available and checking on us, we had a good conversation at the... More

My 2 sons and I visited Tenuta Casanova just hours after arriving in Tuscany from New York and London. Silvano could not have more gracious and engaging. Rita was delightful as well, and her lasagna was the best I ever had. We ordered some of each wine that we were served at lunch, and 2 balsamic vinegars. They arrived a... More

We were gifted a free lunch and guided tour here after purchasing two paintings in Castellina. Drove straight through the lovely countryside and were welcomed by slightly non plussed staff who were evidently not expecting us. However, in typical Italian fashion, a program was made for us, we were made to feel welcome and enjoyed a very interesting afternoon. First... More

We stopped by at the winery without any research and were pleasantly surprised by everything! This family-ran organic has very friendly people who enjoy what the do and their share their art with you. Their balsamic vinegar is of exceptional quality! Superb food and wines! Thank you!!

We hired a guide to take a tour of the Chianti region. He suggested Tenuta Casanova and we are really glad he took us there. The owner, a very interesting and passionate gentleman, took time to give us a tour of his property. He explained his life and his choice to take care of the farm. He gave us a... More

We had the pleasure of visiting Silvano and his beautiful organic farm and vinyard. He took us on a tour of his cellar and around the farm. Then we were treated to the most amazing lunch paired with exquisite wines he produces at the farm. Everything was delicious and it was by far the best meal we had in Italy!... More

Our visit to the farm was midday Sunday after a tour of Siena. After a long, winding trip up the mountain, we entered into the winery, a little piece of paradise set in the Tuscan hills. We were greeted by the owner Silvano, who then took us on a tour of the "farm" including a stop in the olive oil... More

It has been a lifelong dream of mine to take a cooking class in Tuscany. When we decided to take our honeymoon in Italy, I knew that this would be on my must list. Our travel agent got in touch with Silvano and we are so happy we had the opportunity to spend our day in the intimate kitchen at... More

Tenuta Casanova was probably my husband and I's favorite stop on our winery tour through the Chianti Classico region. The farm's landscape and backdrop are beautiful, with lots of rosemary and lavender all around the property. They even have 2 roaming peacocks! Silvano was very welcoming and gave us a good intro into why he started this winery/farm. We could... More

Turned up to taste wine and buy but obviously these people don't need to sell wine. They were more interested in selling food to us than allowing us to taste and buy their wines. Don't bother visiting

"Pathetic" is the right Word: we are very surprised that you left such a bad review without even doing the basic wine tasting (no food) that we proposed to you. Interesting that the other best wineries in the area received a very similar review More
