We had an enjoyable, interesting and moving day out with Danila visiting the battlefields around Montecassino. She is a font of knowledge for so many parts of history, which added to our enjoyment and understanding of Cassino. She tailored the tour to my particular interest in the Coldstream Guards, which gave me an idea of my grandfather's experience during the battle. The whole day was smoothly organised and I came away feeling much more educated about that part of Italian history. Also, the lunch was delicious!

My wife’s grandfather was in Cassino in 1944 and Danila carefully organised our four hour visit so beautifully that we could empathise with his experience. It was excellent value for money as both Danila and our driver were truly lovely people. We started at the Cassino War Cemetery and were taken around the whole area before ending at the abbey. Danila knew everything and nothing was too much bother. She had even helped Gary Lineker and the BBC on his documentary. I really do not know why you would choose anyone else! Superb. Danila also found time to help us with a really difficult issue that she could have walked away from. Quite simply the best!

TheWe feel extremely fortunate to have found Danila's website.  Originally planned and scheduled for April/May of 2020, Covid-19 required a postponement of our Italy trip to April of 2022.  Our party consisted of seven family members, for whom Danila went above and beyond by re-booking all arrangements for lodging and meals during our five day tour. Following my dad's journey from the beaches of Paestum to Dachau has long been on my bucket list, but Danila's grasp of the subject matter, as well as the way it was presented made her five day WWII tour the  highlight of our entire group's 18 day Italian vacation. It is readily apparent that Danila has done extensive research and dedicates a substantial amount of preparation time customizing each family's experience based upon their father's / grandfather's Italian campaign experience.  In the small town of Paestum we were given the opportunity to visit with a lovely lady who shared a photo of herself in the arms of an American GI as a five year old child. The photo had been taken shortly after the beachhead had been secured by the Americans.   A little farther inland, we were introduced to a wonderful family whose patriarch was an eight year old boy at the time of the German occupation.  His father provided the Americans with critical information on German troop locations.  With the help of Danila's translations and their wonderful hospitality our time couldn't have been better spent.  Also during this visit, Danila presented us with a wonderful cake topped with a perfect representation of my dad's WWII U.S. Army Second Chemical Mortar Battalion Red Dragon shoulder patch.  I'm not one easily moved to tears, but I struggled with that one.       While Danila's descriptions of conditions present during the Italian campaign make you feel as if you were there, she also works hard to give you a "taste" of present-day Italy.
