The Royal Palace of Caserta - From Naples
The monumental Royal Palace of Caserta is the former royal residence of the Bourbon King of Naples. Designed by Italian architect Luigi Vanvitelli in the second half of the XVIII century, today the palace is one of the largest and most sumptuous royal buildings in Europe: 1,200 rooms featuring a series of decorative styles, spread over 5 floors and connected through 34 spectacular staircases. The key highlights of the palace include the scenographic Royal Staircase, the Palatine Chapel with its beautifully painted vaults, the Royal Apartments and a library with over 10,000 volumes. The palace is surrounded by a beautiful Versailles-inspired park covering an area of 120 acres dotted with wide avenues, mythological statues, fountains and even a waterfall.

Meeting with the guide in Caserta
