We liked the skischool where our young daughter went for group lessons from Monday to Friday 10:00 - 15:00, Ther was a lot of razzmatazz at the first day when the different groups were formed which took more than an hour.

The communication with the school prior to our visit was helpful. They wisely advised us not to buy ski passes until the instructors tell us that we're ready to go up to the Belvedere ski area. Three of us signed up for a 4-day adult beginner course (Mon-Thu) + equipment, which we were allowed to keep for another day (Fri). We ended up in different groups (beginners, false beginners and advanced beginners, I presume) - and were happy with our instructors, particularly with 'older' ones: Renato (speaks Italian/English) and Ermanno (speaks Italian/German). My group was heterogeneous in terms of the abilities, ages (from teens to mid-40s) and languages - both Italian and English speakers. Renato managed the group very well, giving each one individual attention when necessary. And I even picked up some Italian along the way! We progressed nicely from the nursery slope on the first day, a blue slope in the village on the second day, and the Belvedere ski area on the last two days. Admittedly, Canazei/Belvedere is not the best place for beginners with only one blue slope - most of my 'classmates' were there, like me, because they had friends and relatives doing red and black while we were mastering the basics. But, in fairness, we had an amazing experience with the school.

We booked with Marmolada School because my girlfriend and I are both beginners. We had the first lesson with Veronica who was very helpful and patient. After getting a little bit more confidence we had 2 lessons with Genny. She was absolutely amazing. Very encouraging and super friendly, which made it easier to learn. She suggested us to go to Ciampac and try the blue track there. As we wanted another lesson, she suggested her father and we have been very lucky to have him there to teach us on the different slope. She had told her father where we were up to so that we could pick up where she left us. This shows you that this school has a very good selection of teachers who are not just passionate but also they want other people to enjoy this amazing sport. We had lots of fun!!! Highly recommended. Thank you so much to Genny and Roberto you really helped us. Ciao ciao... alla prossima! Matteo & Alyssa

We booked this ski hire through Crystal ski holiday who recommended it for new skis and good equipment . The total opposite is the case . They tied to fob us off with old beginner skis as intermediate new skis and it took a lot of arguing to get half ok skis for 2 of our party and then they gave me old skis about 6 inches too long and told me take them or leave them . It was 3 days later before we got good skis for me . Don't book there as they really don't care less
