Built in 1810 this beatiful theatre is one of the most important theatre in Italy, outside very simple, only a large staircase indicate the presence of the entrance under the portico. The inside , on the other hand, is magnificent.

when you look at the theater from the outside it is not impressive, but when you go inside it is a different story. Lots of beautiful frescoes and murals

One of the most beautiful opera houses in Italy. There are a lot of them, but this is really "Grande". Got his name after Napoleon. THe stairca and the vestibul is something amazing with statues and frescoes. If you just drop innto the coffé, you can already immagine how the whole theater looks like.

This doesn't look like much from outside, but if the doors at the top of that amazing stairway under the portico are open then climb into this amazing building, either for a guided tour of the spectacular theatre or merely to use the elegant bar for an aperitif and soak up the atmosphere.
Or go to a show, it'll be worth it

I've showed my daughter the wonderful theatre of our town: it's possible to visit it in the afternoon till the end of July. It's one of the nicest places we have in Brescia and visitors can't miss it!

I have been there and watched my friends in The Nutcracker in November 2014. It has been a very beautiful experience. This theatre is a jewel and well kept. It deserves a one-night event or more if you can!;)

We have never been to La Scala, but this grand theater must be very close in its opulence. We saw grand opera there - Madame Butterfly. The acoustics were rich and clear, the sight lines to the stage were good even from way back in the house and the upper crust patrons were fun to behold in the fine designer fashions. don't feel uncomfortable, some patrons, probably travelers like us, were dressed normally. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Go there for a thrill of a lifetime.

A classic-style theater, that hosts a piano festival, dramas, ballet and operas. I remember unnecessary queues to get tickets. Hope they allow e-tickets now.

Excellent and beautiful theater. Comfortable seating. Stage is slanted a bit so you can see people at the rear but it is tricky for those performing to balance themselves if they need movement. There was no casual dressing.
