The security guard told us that the room behind the altar is, by tradition, a replica of Mary's house from Nazareth. One of the rooms off to the side, which they call a confession room, had 6-pointed (Jewish) stars on the walls.

Their best baroque church, it is small but truly beautiful. Easy to find as you wander around. Beautiful art work and incredible marble floors.

Easily located as it's on the main museum route. Brescia has some wonderful churches and this is no exception. Known locally as the church of the Good Shepherd (I hope), it's filled with marble and frescoes ,top to bottom. The Loreto chapel inside has a beautiful tiled floor. There are also some fine contemporary religious paintings in one of the side chapels which is a lovely idea . Brescia Tourist Office in Piazza del Foro can give you a free booklet on the churches in the city which is good if you plan to be here more than one day.…

Built during the 17th century it might no be much from the inside, however it has an incredible baroque interior, full of lavish marbles and sculptures.

This is one of 4 churches that the Touring Club Italiano staffs. They keep these open for free and provide you with a personal tour guide. Each is significantly different and teaches you something different about Brescia.
