Peaceful place with a view
Apr 2021 • Friends
The place and the gardens are well maintained, it is quiet and peaceful to have a walk and enjoy a nice view. Museums were closed due to Covid.

Beautiful!
Oct 2020 • Friends
This is a great place to go with friends or family, or even alone. You are going to take amazing pictures specially if the day is sunny and bright. In my opinion, you should go with time, around two hours so you can walk around and in the castle.

Historical place

It is not far away from the city center, iz can be easily reach by foot.
A lot of stairs, do not go to the top unless you are physically prepared. But once you are there, the view is magical!

Really cool place
Jan 2020 • Family
I really enjoyed. It's free to visit and have an amazing view of Brescia. Perfect for wedding photos. I visited with my family and you can roam pretty much everywhere (except for certain places) freely. And is at a walking distance from the Plaza Vittoria.

Climbing to the top
Dec 2019 • Couples
We climbed a lot of stairs to the castle but were rewarded with a beautiful view over the city and the mountains. Including snow on top of the mountains.

Incredible view
Oct 2019
Great to have a walk from the city centre to the castle, but I don't recommend it in a 25 degrees day. It is a looooong walk to the top, and when I got there was too hot. Luckily there is a small coffee in the entrance so you can cool off a little.
I loved that it was free to walk through, and when you get to the top, it is paradise for landscape photographers. There is an amazing panoramic veiw of the city.

Worth the uphill struggle
Nov 2019 • Solo

Standing over the small town of Brescia, the castle is almost impossible to miss as you roam the streets of the picturesque Italian locale.

Indeed, reaching the castle is a very real uphill struggle, and even once you reach there it isn't plain sailing, but I'd heartily recommend it to anyone visiting Brescia.

The castle grounds themselves are vast and surprisingly free to access, allowing you views from several different towers over Brescia and the surrounding area. If I have one complaint, except for the workout, it's that the signposting isn't always the clearest, particularly when it comes to reaching the top tier of the castle.

There is a small museum of armour and weapons which you access for €5 which is definitely worth a look, and the structure boasts some incredibly architecture on top of the spectacular views it offers.

I don't think you want to come to Brescia without seeing the castle, just make sure you wear comfortable shoes!

Spectacular views & good workout!
Oct 2019 • Couples
Picturesque castle in well preserved state. Home to three different museums, an early 19th century steam locomotive and some incredible views. Also offers the benefit of a decent work out if, like us, you walk up the hill to it from the centre of the city!
