Small village close to Bormio. Entry to Passo Gavio. We made short stop overnight during our motorcycle roadtrip. We really enjoyed the place, restaurants, hotels. I'll be back :)

Go up and over to the bowl in the back. Not to be missed. Sun valley is full of sunshine and power. watch out at lift lines as some skiers forget to Que up properly.

Small, but very nice view and slopes. We enjoyed a full day in Santa Catarina, so don't miss out. No lines, just great skiing!

There is an antiquated chair lift up to the main area and then you are stuck getting a single button lift to the main area unless you are advanced enough to ski down to the cable car. The resort is difficult to negotiate from one side to the other and the left hand side button lift wasn’t working at all. The queues for the beginners button lift were inexcusable with the usual ski schools butting in. They stopped the travellator to the cable car for no apparent reason and the chair lift to the very top was closed on New Year’s Eve because of “bad weather” which seemed to be false. The slopes were good but only one black. Its best feature is easy access to Bormio where there is more skiing!

We were staying in Bormio for a week but took a day out to ski the Deborah Campagnoni run of 3.7 km a couple of times. An excellent run but that was pretty much it as all the other pistes were somewhat less exciting. We also stopped off for lunch at the restaurant on top of the mountain but found it to be well below Bormio standards. Oh, and parking was also a hassle as the main parking garage was closed.

A worthwhile trip considering the DC run and scenic drive!

We went for skiing in Santa Caterina from Bormio with Blue line skibus and after that we regret that didn't went there for skiing before. We liked this place absolutely. The day was after natural snowfall, the slopes were good and clear.
The slopes - blue and red - are wide and they are different in steepness. So every skier can choose what he/she wants - have more intensive skiing or to ski openly and calm. Santa Caterina is most suitable place for beginner skiers. And not so crowded as Bormio.

Absolutely beautiful wide open ski runs, suitable for a wide range of ski levels. The upper areas are sweeping and beautiful, while lower slopes tend to be a little steeper. There are a couple of tricky runs but these are easily avoided. Some of the lifs are a little old fashioned but by and large the are quick and plentiful. There are also a fair few really nice little places to stop and grab something to eat, or simply to have a drink. I really wish we had had longer to explore this resort.

One of the best ski areas in Italy at all. For really enthusiastic skiers, last seasons more popular than before, more skiers at pistas. My recommendations.
