About
The caves of Borgio Verezzi offer a tourist path that winds for about 800 meters inside large rooms, among huge blocks detached from the vault in remote eras. Very rich concretions of every shape: from the cannulae, thin and almost transparent, to the drapes, thin as sheets, to the large columns that seem to support the vault up to the eccentric stalactites, that defy the gravity force developing in all directions. And everywhere the colors: white, yellow, red in a thousand different shades. Due to the presence of various minerals, they make the Grotte di Borgio Verezzi the most colorful tourist cave in Italy.

Me and my kids had a really nice time visiting the cave. It was nice also to be in a cooler environment (16 degres) when it was 30+ degres outside.
I would advise to book in advance and to come 15 min before minimum to make sure you have time to get your tickets. Its hard to find a parking nearby if you have a car to plan in consequence. Otherwise i would totally advise this visit, really beautiful inside and a perfect change from going to the beach. It can be a bit packed inside, with a bit less people it would be even better! There is a toilet just outside and a small cafe/restaurant also.

This grotte is the most colorful cave in the area due to the different chemical deposits. There is a guided tour once every hour and although the visit is in Italian, the guide speaks excellent English and they provide a sheet with the summary of the visit (they may even provide explanations in person, but I am not certain as I speak Italian, so I did not ask).

Spectacular !!! Driving from Italy to France, we saw the sign and decided to stop. If you are interested in caves, grottos, stalactites this is the place for you. Hard to believe that this isn't a world class location. The tour takes about an hour. About 10-15 minutes from autostrada.

Definitely a place to visit if you are in the area. There are only guided tours and you can check the starting times from web. Guide gave the tour in Italy and in English. You can have a translation with you on the paper with different languages as well.

A must-to-see naturally preserved gem in Liguria. If you are lucky, you could also have the chance to attend a classical concert inside it!

Nice cave with beautifull views. I've seen better caves other places in the world but ok to spend an hour if you havn't seen caves before. Except in one room you are not allowed to take photos.

On a very hot summer morning we (a family of five) decided to have a refreshing break and headed to the caves of Borgio Verezzi. There are scheduled guided visits both in the morning and in the afternoon (check the Web for the slots). The caves in Toirano are way more beautiful but may be too big for younger kids to explore while these ones are just the right size to keep the little ones entertained. The guide speaks Italian and some English. Don't forget your sweater (the temperature inside is 16°C all year round)

È accessibile anche solo in parte per una sedia a rotelle?
Written March 27, 2019
Purtroppo è molto complicato. Il pavimento è scivoloso e alcuni tratti molto stretto di difficile passaggio anche senza sedia a rotelle.

We have two small kids nearly 2 and 4 years. Is it possible for them and would it be possible to leave if the kids would be to noisy and ‘wild’?

Mi hanno detto di tenere il biglietto perché vale come sconto per altre strutture. La domanda è: dove trovo l'elenco di tali strutture?

Suggestive!

Buongiorno a tutti,
