FOR SUCCULENT PLANT LOVERS,BUT NOT ONLY
Mar 2019 • Family
I recently visited this exceptional garden, when friendscame to visit me.A few of them love cactus, but some others in the party were not that much involved.. So, Iwas a bit embarrassed for the latter. To my surprise, as we step after step rose the hundreds of steps , even those not especially interested in plants started to shoot pictures and wawed enthusiastically, because of the landscape that is definitely fantastic. Have comfortable shoes since you climb uphill a lot. Shame that there is no bar or place where you can purchase a drink, that would really be TOP. To cacti fans, this COLLECTION is an ABSOLUTE MUST. VERY WELL ORGANIZED AND TENDED

Gorgeous Gardens
Feb 2018 • Couples
We really enjoyed our visit yesterday. There is a pamphlet to guide you round and we found that helpful. There are cacti from all around the world and even though we know very little about cacti we were entranced by the variety and beautiful colours of their flowers- even in February. The setting is wonderful and the views out to sea so beautiful. We had the gardens to ourselves which was unexpected.

TIPS. Reduction in entrance fees available (FAI card, over 65s etc). Easy to get to on the bus from Bordighera. There is no zebra crossing from the bus stop to the gardens. Crazy as this is a busy road. Some parking nearby. Very steep and not all steps have a handrail. Wear strong non slip shoes. Some seating in shade but avoid going in the heat of the day.

Highly recommended. These gardens are different and very interesting.

Knowing better cactus species

Interesting visit to plants very difficult to grow in Italy. But in this special part of Italy they grow and thrive without problems.

A bit of a climb but worth it really!
Jan 2016 • Family
This garden is jam-packed with succulents and cactuses. If you are not interested in these, the views from here are good. Our party enjoyed the cactuses too and we ranged from 8 to 80! It is quite a scramble to visit all parts of it if you are nearer the 80 than the 8!

Beautiful garden
May 2015 • Couples
The first time I visited this garden was some three years ago, in August. In a blazing heat, as this garden faces south, which is ideal for the cacti and succulents, of which there is indeed an amazing amount. Now we visited in May, not so hot, so better for us weary travellers, and lots of plants were blooming. There weren't many visitors though, which is a shame, it certainly deservers more. The plants are magnificent and you have a beautiful view of the Mediterranean. Don't take a stroller, or a young kid, as you have to climb uphill mainly with stairs. There aren't many parking spaces out front, but there is a hotel across the street where we have parked a view times. The beach across from the garden (next to this hotel), is pretty quiet, but with a shower, and it is a great place for snorkelling.

Good if you like cacti
Oct 2014 • Solo
The garden is on a steep slope so you need to go slowly or be fit to get to the top. The cost is six euros with no concessions except perhaps to groups and I didn't think it was worth it. The exception would be if you were keen on cacti or succulents, because that's what there is. Some are very old and, when I went (October) a few were blooming. There are no toilets and nowhere to buy a drink or anything else.

Beautiful exotic oasis in Bordighera
Jul 2013 • Solo
Bordighera is a beautiful sea resort, well known in the past by the English and Russian noblemen and royals(Queen Victoria used to spend her time here and Queen Regina Margherita of Savoy(Italy's last queen) and Monet used to paint in town too.
Bordighera offers the touristsan array of visits and sightseeing and Pallanca Exotic gardens are one of the best. You will be surprise to see how these incredible variaty of cacti have and succulents have adjusted to the Riviera's climate and grow beautifully.
The bus from town or from Sanremo stops just in front of the gardens!

Gem of a Garden deserves more visitors
Jun 2013 • Couples
Terraced organic garden full of exotic plants and especially cacti and succulents. Privately run by passionate people. So much for the experienced botanist and entomologist to see as well as a good trip out for the keen gardener.
