Healing thermal waters of heated indoor and outdoor swimming-pools. A cosy snack bar on the first floor with the view of the Adriatic Sea. A new spa, quality massage service with a wide choice of treatments. Not cheap but worth it.

Not really therme. Only one pool inside, small massage pool, you need to wear cap.. In 21st century?!? Go to Austria or Slovenia to see what means therme.

I did not know this is a full service wellness facility with meal planing and the like. I enjoyed the spa with a mineral rub, massage, and several different types of saunas. The facility also had a indoor and outdoor pool which were nice.

It's not the most beautiful thermae but it does the trick. A couple of the waterfalls in the pool are fantastic for sorting out stiff necks. It can get busy best to go at lunch when everyone is eating or very early or very late....More

Romantic Bath and Longleat? (14 Replies)
I'm planning a very romantic anniversary break in April for my hubby, it's a complete suprise, he wont find out until we're on the m25! It's the 17-22nd Anyway, I've booked into Three Abbey Green, it looks lovely and it has amazing reviews. I'm plannig an early morning hot-air balloon trip, a three hour trip to Thermae Springs with lunch, and I'd like to go to Longleat too, do the Safari and the Hedge Maze. How long will it take to get to Longleat from Bath? A taxi one way would be...More

Lauricha - congratulations for a great choice of a weekend! Silly question but the last time I went to Longleat you had to drive through the Lion enclosure in a car!! Is it possible to do it without a car these days?? Even if you are normally into museums I would still suggest the Roman Baths - the audio guide is excellent. For romance - I love the walk along the canal. I'd join the river at Pulteney Bridge, walk along infront of the Rec (ok not the prettiest bit but it gets better!)...More

Venice to Abano transfer (0 Replies)
My husband and I will be debarking a cruise ship on May 29 in Venice. We need to travel to Abano Terme. I have a few questions: - Any experience using Thermae Express Shuttle Service from Marco Polo Airport (is it reliable?) - Is there a direct bus service from Piazzale Roma to Abano, schedule? I am at present debating whether to go for that or get the hotel to order a taxi which I know would be over 100 euros (compared with 10 e on the bus). Any info would be greatly appreciated. ...More

Originally planned as a day trip from London, we have now added Bath for a 2 day stay in January. Wish we were going straight to Bristol but too late to change flights! So now I have to decide between train or bus from LHR to Bath. The bus apears to be most convenient, but since daughter can become ill on long bus trips (main reason for not taking a long day tour), I would appreciate some feedback on this trip regarding the roadways (winding, etc?) I have not been to bath for >15 years,...More

Taxis are always available from near the Abbey or you can go to Abbey Taxis rank little hut along Manvers Street and V cars have an office overlooking 'Bog Island'. The Bath Spa Hotel has it's own spa which is lovely. The journey time from LHR would be about 1.5 - 1.75 hours and is on a motorway so is largely a straight road. Have a good trip!
