From time to time we return to the Campolongo Pass, both to reach Val Badia and above all to use it as a starting point to reach destinations in the beautiful surroundings. In fact, there are numerous paths that lead to altitude, always panoramic and suitable for a wide range of walkers. However, there is no shortage of convenient alternatives represented by chairlifts.
On one side the pass looks towards Arabba, the Fodom valley and the Marmolada; from the opposite one you overlook the upper Val Badia crowned by the unmistakable mass of Sassongher. On the flanks rise the gigantic Sella group with its complex rock complex and, in front, the green expanses of Chierz.

The Campolongo pass is one of the many beautiful mountain passes in the Dolomites along the SR48. The pass was open because of its regional importance, while other passes were being closed because of late snow in early May that year.
