Good overview of the city especially with small children. The English tour on headphones was very difficult to understand because it was read by and Italian with a strong accent. It would have been much better had it been read by an English or American person without an accent.

What a wonderful experience hunting truffles in the. le Marche area with our tour escort Moreno Moretti and the trained dogs who sniffed out the truffles. We were also taken to a restaurant nearby who prepared a dish to taste the truffles. He also showed us the wonderful seaside sights of the Adriatic coast. Nice personality and very knowledge of the area. A nice visit for a few days…

As the audio is almost impossible to hear and the English difficult to understand this tourist attraction offers nothing. A thorough walk of the area offers more than this uncomfortable ride.

With children of 5 and 3 with us, exploring Ascoli on foot is challenging. This train journey provided a fun way to see the town and the kids loved it. The journey lasts a full 30 mins and although the recorded audio guide playing over the speakers was more of a distraction than anything in Italian and English there was some snippets of interest. We felt that at €16 for the 4 of us on a family ticket represented decent value. The route was beautiful and gave a real feel for the town.
