The museum was a bit hard to find as we must have missed any signs. Eventually worked it out and spent an hour or so looking around. Not a large or particularly important collection but the palazzo setting and what they did have especially the violins was well worth the entrance fee (which included access to the ceramics museum and... This is located on the second floor of an old palazzo and offers often special exhibitions, in addition to the permanent show. The special exhibition was a little disappointing: just a few Giotto and the Cimabue was "missing". The permanent exhibition was better but, for Italy, not that special.

We visited the Pinacoteca Civica to see the exposition Francesco nell'Arte. We got full tickets (12€/person) to also see the private collection. It was a nice visit, but nothing special.

The best painting was away for an exhibition, pity. The architect of the Cathedral was also an excellent painter of (holy) pictures.

It's easy to let time slip by in this picture gallery. We stayed there two hours enjoying all the beautiful artwork.

Many beautiful works of art are here by Carlo Crivelli, Cola dell'Amatrice, Guido Reni, and others. Lovely setting in a historic palazzo. Very unfortunately no photos (even without flash) are allowed.

The Pinacoteca Civica sits in a pretty courtyard off the Piazza Arringo The entrance fee was very reasonable particularly when bought as a combinaion ticket with the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Ceramics Museum (6 euros for the 3). The artwork ranges from Medieval religious triptychs to works of the late 19th century all displayed in large rooms giving... More

If you like art and history, the pinacoteca civica is really worth a visit. The entrance fee is very cheap. The wonderful art collection is hosted in large rooms with luxurious furniture from the 18th and 19th centuries. The works of art (paintings and sculptures) range from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. I was enthralled by a great... More

This museum consists of several rooms of paintings and some sculpture with medieval paintings through the mid-to late 19th century. An excellent audio guide is available, and I recommend it. You can buy one ticket which gives you entry into three museums, including the Contemporary Art museum, which I highly recommend, too. The paintings and sculptures in both museums were... More

The Pinacoteca Civica or Municipal Art Museum is located in Palazzo dell'Arengo in the large Piazza Arringo. You will find the entrance inside the courtyard, through the northwest doors and up a flight of steps. There is a good collection of religious and secular work by Crivelli and some of his contemporaries. You will also find other pieces specific to... More
