It is a beautiful place with many possibilities of walking. There are also places with grill so you can have picnic there. If there is nice weather, the experience is amazing. Recommended.

This area is a wonderland that offers much for the nature-lover, hiker and botanist. Situated in the area of Villa di Tirano in the province of Sondrio in the northern Italian region of Lombardy, it’s worth a visit. Spend the day there and enjoy a picnic in the grounds, after a walk around the reserve. Guided tours are available with the local guides who are proud to share their knowledge about the history of the area, the flora and fauna. This needs to be booked, but is highly recommended, to maximise time spent in the park. There are three ways to get there – from Sondrio, Brescia or Tirano. We used Tirano as our base town, and travelled by bus to the resort town of Aprica for two nights, just so we could do the park tour on one day. If travelling by car, this is an easy destination to get to. In winter, this area is great for cross-country skiing. We were there in September and a jacket was required, but the temperature was comfortable for hiking. Our group ranged in age up to the eighties, so walking the trail was quite achievable.
