The curious façade with these rows of bricks and that concave-convex appearance invites you to enter and here is an interior with an amazing elliptical dome. Behind the altar is a choir with wonderful wooden stalls. Truly worth seeing and admiring every detail

For a small church in a small town, this is quite impressive. It has some relics of some saint....neveer sure about these claims.

You could easily pass by this little church on Via Vittorio Emanuele, except perhaps for the interesting brickwork. But if you spot it and go inside you'll find a little baroque gem. Not to everyone's taste but certainly a concentrated example of its kind.

Stumbled into this on accident on our recent visit to the area. We were exploring downtown Alba while waiting for our train back to Torino. Beautiful church that we visited for about 10 minutes.

This late-Baroque style church was completed in 1749 and built for an order of Dominican nuns on the site of a previous 15th century chapel. The red brick facade is unfinished with there being a wooden portal on which three crossed arrows are carved which is the symbol for Margherita. There is a plain stucco oval above the portal and a semicircular window higher above that.

The small interior is an unusual rectangular type shape with eight Corinthian marble columns alternating with marble pilasters and covered by an ovate dome. The interior of the dome and the ceilings are covered with beautiful frescoes whilst there are paintings and 18th century statues in the ornate side chapels. The altar on the left of the main altar has a silver coffin that holds the relics of St Margherita

There is also a nun's choir that has 48 walnut wood stalls behind the main altar.

Well worth a look.

Was walking by and just popped in to see the church. Small but very impressive, especially the ceilings are beautiful. You can miss it if you are not looking
