I don't think this functions as a church any more but we were there for a musical concert. It has so much to admire inside and the music was lovely too.

We were astounded by the high quality of the restoration. The frescoes and murals were in very good condition, the wood work around the altar was superbly restored and the vaults are worth a visit. The church is small and friendly. Whitebeard83

Most people visit this church because its tower is open to the public for 1 Euro and offers great views over Alba. Its crypt contains Roman ruins as well. What I liked best about it were the dioramas illustrating events in the life of Christ. These are found in the apse behind the high altar. They are very finely made and beautifully lit. Worth a visit.

This old church offers climbs of its tower for one euro per person. It is a great experience going up the old stone staircase and then at the top one is rewarded by views over the town and adjacent area. On returning to the bottom you can go downstairs to get an idea of the history of the church from excavations that have been made. Our most recent trip to this church was during the Truffle Fair when there are concerts on Sunday mornings. We enjoyed an hour's sublime piano playing.

If you're in Alba, this church is a nice bonus to the rest. The Alba Music Festival often has concerts in it, both in the morning and in the evening. The church itself is fairly small and bare, though the ceiling is filled with frescoes. For a symbolic 1€ you can climb up to the bell tower and/or descend to the roman ruins. It's really close to the main piazza, so it's worth the two steps it takes to get to it.
