Alba is surrounded by hills of vineyards. Without a car and with weather too hot to hire bikes we took our first Segway tour with the delightful, patient and informative Margherita of Albaway Tours. The tour is called 'Alba Hills' and is just one of many options listed. We started with the expected basic instruction on how to use and... More

I actually took two Segway tours - one around the city and the other to a winery. Margherita was my guide on both and I felt as if I made a new friend by the end of the second day. The segways were a lot of fun and my guide was so knowledgeable and enjoyable - I hit the jackpot... More

We recently arranged two fantastic activities through Margherita at Albaway Tours. First, we did a walking tour of Alba with Alessandra. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Alba and its most important sites. And, she was equally fun to chat with about Piedmont and the surrounding areas. One highlight was a visit to a famous truffle shop where... More

This was the second time doing a tour with Margherita and I'm excited to do another one the next time we visit Alba. Margherita is a true professional and being born in Alba what better way to spend time with someone that truly understands the culture, history, and of course food and wine. This time we did a 3 day... More

I am moved by your review. I work with passion and I try to please the customer as much as possible. The tour with you was great also for me because you are like friends. When you return in Langhe you find me always, don't worry. A big hug!! More

Learning to ride the Segway from Margherita was quick and easy, and so much fun I couldn't believe it! What a great way to see the beautiful Piemonte countryside. Margherita was nice and funny and a good tour guide. We enjoyed the ride and the wine tasting, and can't wait to find somewhere else to Segway. I felt like a... More

Margherita took us on the hill tour and for that a Segway is just brilliant.... the tour is comfortable, informative and you get a good view on Alba town and the Ferrero plant (incl. chocolate smell). I enjoyed the first time on a segway and just loved it. Easier than you think and definatly easy for skiers.

We went for the Barolo and La Morra tour on SegWay, we are a family of four. Meet and greet and technical stuff about the SegWay was conducted in a good way so all felt safe to role out on the tour. Our guide Matheus was good and spoke fine english, weather was fantastic and we had good fun. We... More

Me an my husband did the Alba wine tour. It was the first time we tried segways, but Alessandra was very patient makings sure we had the grip of it before we ventured out on the road. The tour up to the winery Ceretto was beautiful, passing grape fields, hazelnut trees and peachtrees. Alessandra was very friendly, patient and explained... More

Matteo did a great job of taking me to historic and beautiful spots in and around Barolo. The trip up the hill to La Morra on the segways was not only fun but the scenery was awesome at the top and around the little village. then we stopped at a local family owned winery for a tasting and some snacks.... We where a group of 4 who was in Alba to "wine 'n' dine" and had for that purpose arranged Margarita to be our guide for one day. We had a fantastic day where Margarita had arranged visits on a few very well-picked local wineries, lunch in a cosy restaurant etc. Margarita is very likeable, serviceminded and authentic. We could... More
