About
An ancient inscription dated 1871 was found on an old press, demonstrates the long tradition of the Armed Family in the production of olive oil. We work with millstones according to the traditional cold pressing. We produce an extra virgin olive oil with low acidity, digestible, unfiltered, sweet and slightly fruity.

A must to visit when in Alassio or nearby. A real small olive factory where Paolo and other very friendly staff, in perfect English with an elegant italian accent, will explain how their products are made. You can buy super quality olive oil, pesta, sun dried tomatoes and other local products made on the site at a very attractive price. If you buy too heavy to carry, as I did, it will be delivered to your hotel for free the same day. Located just 10-15 minutes of a nice walk from the shore. Do not miss!

Mice place to understand the job and life stile of the people leaving in the areas where the olive tree is cultivated and the products derived from the olives are prepared. Display of the tools and explanation of the working methods and products. display and sale of the products

It was a rainy day and we wanted to do something just to spend some hours before lunch. We went to Al Frantoio di Aldo Armato on chance, and it showed to be a chance that payed off. We were lucky to be guided by the owner, Sig. Giordano, that gave us a full tour of the production of olive oil. From the harvest of the olives, the different steps of the production, teaching us about different qualities, and the final step where we were able to taste this terrific oil. Even if you don´t think that you´re interested in olive oil production - you will probably change you´re mind after this visit.

We came here late morning on a Tuesday and were welcomed by Fabio. He was so kind and welcoming. He gave us a full tour of the factory and told us all the details about how they make their olive oil. He gave us samples of the olive oil and spent two hours with us just chatting about how to understand olive oil. We found out that they are actually closed in the afternoon but he was so kind and didn't rush us at all. We tried to leave because we felt bad about taking up his time but he treated us like family. We were the only ones in the factory and had a truly unique and unforgettable Italian experience. The prices for their products are very reasonable considering the kind of quality that you get. Thank you Fabio we will never forget you!!!!!

I have just returned from a trip to Al Frantoio di Aldo with my wife and two small children. To be honest I wasn't wildy excited about shopping for Olive oil with the family. But I was pleasantly surprised at how interesting it was, the chaps that work there are obviously passionate about olives. Their enthusiasm was infectious and we left laden with reasonably priced fare and a new interest in olive oil.

It took me years to find the Oil I truly loved, then, by chance at a Restaurant I found it and found my way back to the source.

The Frantoio di Aldo Amato has a store close to the city center of Alassio, but it can also be ordered more conveniently online.

They have different types of Oil, all produced from their own land, in the beautiful hills not so far from Alassio.
The best one is: U Re (the King!).

You will be thrilled!
This is the best oil I have ever tasted.

We have been to Alassio many times but only this year discovered the olive oil factory and shop
This wasn't just a show case set up for tourists but very much a family business ,factory and shop
We were amased at how many locals and businesses were buying 5 litres +of olive oil , which was taken from huge vats .
We were asked if we would like a tour of how olive oil was made, which was very interesting .
The shop had so many olive oils to choose from as well as pestos and skin care made from olive oil . We were spoil for choice. Unfortunately due to weigh restrictions on our flight back to Ireland we were limited to how much we could buy. But we still managed to purchase .
This is well worth a visit, the staff are very welcoming could not be more helpful with a lovely friendly manner
I wanted some olives (delicious)but jar would been heavy No trouble vacum packing fresh olives for me
Prices are so reasonably
Will definitely be back next time
