Be careful!

After reading the other reviews we found out that we definitely drove along the wrong road (the one that google maps recommends). This was absolutely the worst nightmare both of us ever had, driving along extremely bumpy roads, scared for our lives (not exaggerating).
Our car is completely ruined with scratches and everything underneath the car is wrecked!!
Please if you go, make sure you take the easier road.

Not wort it!

Not worth the time! Very small area, difficult to call it a beach. App 20min in a horrible road where you can easily damage the car. Lots of sea weeds in the sea, so difficult to swim.
Not recommended!

a more inaccesible place, but worth the effort

We chose a day when the bird hunters were out But they let us pass and we found the beach, which has a ruin of a stone fisherman's house (?) on the very edge of the water. Similar carved limestone rocks as Scala dei Turchi.

Gorgeous views

Just standing on the top of the cliffs before the descent to see the Scala dei Tuerchi, this view shows the various hews of blues that the sea offers on a beautiful day! Although a small place it is unique along this coast. A must see!

Nice place, but be careful, there are two ways to go there, one is terrible ( we thougt we have to go back, really bad) and is the one recommended in google maps. The other path is ok.

I have visited this place few time and it is A M A Z I N G.
All the white coast in agrigento is magic and unique for the white stone over the Sicilian sea. I can recommend to bring some food and drink because there is not bar o place close by to buy something. High recommend to visit one time in your life

A must to visit this unique place in Agrigente, a nature reserve, a dream beach with white sand, impressionant in the morning and on sunset ; white flowers of the almond trees, fichis d'India, (figues of Barbari), cactus, and all the lemon trees of the valley.

Wonderful place, worth the drive!

I went to Punta Bianca with my girlfriend in early August to spend the day at the beach there, swimming and snorkeling. It is quite off the beaten path in the sense that it is hard to reach, but also in the sense that it is not crowded at all, perhaps as a result of the latter. When we arrived, around 13, there were only 5-6 other cars parked there, and but a handful of people lying on the beach. The view is quite beautiful, and the beach and the white rock formations are very nice as well.

Getting there:
Admittedly a bit tricky. The road starts off okay, but soon becomes quite rocky. Nothing a little careful driving can't manage, however. There is an acute lack of roadsigns, though, and at an intersection about 2 kms from the mainroad, it is imperative to keep right, along the hillside, and not keep going up to the left. The only reason we didn't go the wrong way was because of a Sicilian driving in front of us, leading the way.

For snorkeling purposes:
Try walking onto the white cliffs in front of the old ruin. Here it is possible to leave bags/towels on the rocks and dive into the sea directly from the rocks. The water is approximately 2-3 meters deep directly upon entering, and a beautiful underwater world awaits.

We had a great experience here, and can heartily recommend it!

Unique
Aug 2015 • Couples
Punta Bianca is a unique spot. It is a white stone formation (similar but smaller than the closeby Scala dei Turchi) over the blue Sicilian sea. Quite easy to reach the place by car, although it requires some km of dirt road.

So much less known than the Scala dei Turchi, so more calm and better if looking for nature, relax and silence. Some small beach beside it allows putting an umbrella or lay down, although the beach may be dirt of algae.

We experienced a very calm water. There are some stones, so not good for swim, but nice for snorkeling as you can spot fishes and other sea fauna. An hidden destination absolutely worth the visit!

When you are traveling in a hire car you are very mindful of the terrain, sadly the access roads were awful, although we tried to continue along the tracks (even with all of us, except the driver, leaving the vehicle) we had to abandon our visit as we were worried about damaging our car.
