Despite being one of the hottest days of the year we had a lovely tour of the villa and grounds with a wine tasting at the end. Our tour guide Chiara spoke excellent English and proved highly knowledgeable of the venue and its history, thoroughly charming and professional, she really brought to life the history of the place and the family. Aside from the beautiful modernist architecture and gardens and incredible views it is worth visiting just to see the incredible ironwork and metal detailing with some of the most beautiful and playful locks and door mechanism I have ever seen. Villa Ottolenghi is art and beauty; the architecture, the gardens, the view of Acqui Terme and the ironwork (created by Ferrari maesters), are a great example of splendor, in big and small details, which the residential complex has!
