I visited this SPA with a friend. I reserved a treatment for 133 € which consisted of a 55 minutes massage and the entrance at the SPA. The location is 5 minutes away by car from the city center and you can find it pretty easily. There are three floors, the basement where you can find the changing rooms, toilets and showers. There is only one finnish sauna and on turkish bath, which is pretty cool though. In fact it is huge, the lights are relaxing and comfortable, the mist is so dense that I could barely see my friend e there are about 4 stone beds where you can lie down while enjoying the atmosphere. The mist is made only by thermal water without essential oils. That's why it's a bit smelly. However, it is quite healthy! There are 2 pools, 2 jacuzzis, and a couple of relaxing rooms. I must say it's a good place for people that are not so used to SPA's or wellness centres. You can relax, have a treatment and enjoy thermal water. However, if you are an "abituè" you can find it a bit unsatisfying. First of all, there are no private changing rooms. You have to change in front of everyone and the door of the changing room gets directly to the corridor, so if someone is passing by they can see anything. I personally prefer changing rooms with a doorway and the comfort to be able to choose to change in front of everyone or in private. Second, there are no other facilities such a kneipp path or vichy showers and it didn't feel at all like a holistic path. The holistic path usually consist of 15-20 minutes in hot temperatures followed by a few seconds with very cold water to stimulate the elasticity of the vains and therefore making the circulatory system more efficient in draining deep tissues. There wasn't any trace of the second part of the path and therefore the entire thing is useless. Third, relaxation rooms were nor comfortable neither relaxing. There were only long chaises, no relaxing sound no relaxing images no warming sources. Usually I'd find some hot pots with teas and herb teas, sometimes some fruits to eat. Here I could find only water. And finally, I had to get almost naked to get the treatment/massage. I would have liked them to inform the client if a treatment requires you to get off your swim suit and stay half naked with just a thin paper slip. I have enough experience of SPAs and it never happened outside of Italy. My last remark, in Canada, England, United States and Japan they always ask for your medicla conditions before you get any treatment. This is not the case. So be aware that if you have some health issue YOU should warn them becasue they're not going to ask you. In conclusion, I had good time but I must say this SPA is far from perfection.

A great spa - and for the price one of the best in Italy without a doubt. Two visits now and we have found it not crowded and the outdoor facilities a real treat. Just remember to bring a towel for your shower afterwards as the one they provide will be wet by the end and they charge for extra ones. Fantastic turkish bath/steam room - just be prepared that it is a REAL thermal spa so there is a sulphur smell in the air - but you get used to it rapidly. Wonderful pools and other amenities. Staff are efficient but no overly friendly. One small complaint - a few free herbal teas and the like wouldn't stretch the budget of the place and usually are offered free in these type of places. Everything else excellent and the two massages I have had have been very good - obviously professional masseurs.

This is truly a unique and unforgettable experience that is much more than I thought it would be when going in. Several rooms offering different experiences....the history....the calm feeling...and the way my skin and body felt afterward- absolutely uncomparable. It would be a shame to visit the city and miss out on this magical and lovely experience.

We've been to many spas, but this is definitively the best one we have so far visited in Europe. Everything is cared to the minimum detail, the staff is nice and competent and the circuit they propose makes a lot of sense and will make you enjoy all the facilities with no hassle whatsoever. We were lucky to get in with no reservation since it's summer but reservation is adviced as it is very busy and they keep a fixed quota of people everyday. The latter makes the place not at all crowded and you can definitively feel relaxed and exclusive. The rituals they propose are great - we did Tibetan bells and the gong lounge - and they are included in the price. We were hesitant before getting in as the price is not necessarily cheap and there were other spas in the area. However, this is great value for money. We took a massage and were happy about it. Come with your towels as they only provide a bath robe. They could improve little things such as better facilities in the changing room. Overall, this is a great place and we will for sure come back more than once.

While the spa boasts of twelve steps on your path to wellness, it's the various swimming pools and natural hot baths that are the most memorable areas. A three to four hour visit (depending on whether you get a treatment) is best. The spa is a very decent size, all at ground level, clean and tastefully decorated. We asked for a sports massage but got given with a Swedish massage instead. In any case the massage room (for my wife and I) was so pleasant we did not mind. Take a break from the castles and historic sights to unwind here. All good for the holiday experience if you are not in a rush.

If you want to spend some excellent time in a clean, modern SPA this is the place. You will enjoy everything you need to recover from stress, either for an afternoon or for a longer stay. The area is in low Piemonte, a fantastic Italian region producting good food and good wine, there you can combine relax with good food. Acqui Terme, an elegant small town, is just 3 minutes drive from the SPA. In Acqui Terme you will taste the true meaning of a small Italian city, with little bars and fantastic trattorias. It's worth trying. And the sea of Liguria is not too far!

Such an Italian experience, somewhere between a monastery, a clinic and a swimming pool. About 52 euros for four hours. The water comes up out of the earth in various places, most spectacularly in the Volcano Source - a round brick and wood lined pool outdoors where you soak in very hot water - this is said also to be good for the lungs. There's also an atmospheric volcano steam room ( the turkish baths) set under brick arches, lit by LED fairy lights and steaming hot. This bath has nice touches like the scallop basin full of ice-crystals to drop down your (or someone else's) back, and the ice bucket challenge where you pull water over yourself before going back to steam. Inside the rather wonderfully restored building has 2 internal swimming areas, several lovely rooms to relax in (one with a water curtain which will have you dropping off) and one with soothing music. There's also outdoor space with jacuzzis, a gong lounge (yes really), and lots more. In general silence is encouraged. The treatment rooms are the italian-clinic thing, with many treatments from thermal mud and essential oils to more traditional facials and massage. No phones and absolutely no photos, best to leave them in the changing rooms, which are discreet, safe and thoroughly nice. They give you a hooded bathrobe and disposable flip flops when you enter. Bathing costumes necessary. Of course, being Italy, no visit is complete without food. There's a buffet area, with wholesome snacks provided in the price (crudites, rolls, crackers, jam, honey, tea, fruit juice), and coffee for 1 euro. Rather a good idea as you're there for 4 hours, which is just perfect to really relax. If you don't fall asleep at some point, it would be a wonder. Lots of young italian couples, as well as groups of friends of both sexes and of course girls on weekends away. The Spa is part of the general rediscovery of Acqui Termi and this delightful town should not be missed. Thoroughly recommend both.

We did the 12 steps 4 hour program and enjoyed every moment. The spa is well organised and laid out to ensure it doesn't feel too overcrowded because it is popular and does get busy. The highlight for us was the Tibetan gong and bells. There are refreshments available all the time, Highly recommend a relaxing visit to this spa!

I love going to spas! I wanted to go to an Italian Spa ... and so we did. Lago Delle Sorgenti really should do a little research on the "spa" experience. This facility failed at every step. I don't want to go into all the details ... but it was all very disappointing. From coming in the front door ... to going out the front door.
I would not recommend ... maybe it is the only spa in northern italy ... maybe people should just go up to switzerland. If you don't have any expectations for a "spa" experience then you might enjoy it. If you do, then you will only enjoy the Volcano delle Sorgenti. It is the only thing that gives this property a three. And it is not even done that well.
Everything that is promised here will NOT be delivered.
OHHHH... the last thing. You pay 50euros to go to a spa for 3-4 hours and I asked for a dry towel because mine was soaking wet... and they said there would be an charge of 2.50euros. WHAT? it is a spa ... there is water everywhere...

The spa is in the 'bagni' part of Acqui Terme. The interior has been well designed, it is spacious, the changing rooms are spotlessly clean and the facilities are fantastic. I started in the Moving water pool, the water is 35C and you can feel the stress falling away. I experienced the Tibetan bells being played in the natural Turkish baths, what an incredible experience. After a rest I went outside to the 'Vulcano', the original Roman infrastructure, you can put on a hat which captures the steam rising from the water. Up a level there are Jacuzzis and a relaxation area but the weather was a little cool so I went through the bar which is also a pleasant area, to the Roman pool but was diverted into the chapel which is now the Gong lounge to experience planet gong, difficult to describe but a wonderful experience. I finished my complete spa experience in the Roman pool.
I didn't have time to have any treatments but the spa have their own products which are excellent.
Do visit this spa and make time to walk around the beautiful and historic town of Acqui Terme.
