Had a brilliant afternoon at Leo's tavern. We were served with a great sandwich and chips lunch and entertained in various ways throughput the afternoon. Interesting and informative but amusing talk, super music and typical Irish tales and amazing accapella singing by the lovely young man who served our lunch! Great craic!!

The staff were attentive and professional. The place pleasant. The chowder was nice and the fish and chips were nice tho the chips are frozen. But dear oh dear...the burger. Its one thing to get a dry tough burger in the chipper for four quid, but this cost 17 euros. Dry Crispy brioche bun and tough lifeless patty with a blob of cheese stuck to it. Not the worst burger ive had but wow ...a poor effort for 17 quid? Cmon guys, you let yourselves down.

While in the area, we were recommended to visit Leo’s tavern. It was mis afternoon so we stopped for drinks and we’re entertained by the owner and staff with stories and history of the bar and it’s family roots. Wish we were there when there was live music!

Went here with some friends a few weeks ago and we were unfortunate that we had the Scottish woman with the bad attitude as our server. ~(we heard some stories before we arrived) Food was mediocre at best and there was some music played over the speakers. Place was nearly empty.

Had a meal there tonight. Not great food guys, chips are made from frozen chips and not a great choice for vegetarians. Mine was 2/10 if your asking…….

After driving all day to our campsite in the misty rain we were becoming seriously worried about where we would eat after our journey. We had passed through many towns and all of the main restaurants and bars seemed to be closed, possibly because it was a Monday or possibly because of Covid. When we saw Leo's as we rounded a small hill up a back road out car let out a triumphant roar as we saw food, drink and atmoshere on the horizon. Our cheers were short lived when we asked for a booking as they were completely full but the kind owner recognised our desperation and found us a spare table for an hour. We were so grateful we would have eaten anything at this stage but all four of us agreed that the starters, main and desserts we got were all delicious! I recommend the stir fry which was as tasty as I have tasted in any Thai or Chinese restaurant. The main thing we would have to say that really impressed us was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. It was our first day in Donegal and hadn't been ideal with the long drive and dreary weather. That changed after we ate in Leo's and our damp bodies and spirits were lifted by this hospitality. It really kickstarted our trip and the next few days were brilliant but we still referred back to our lovely Leo's as one of the highlights. Thanks again, pub's like this are what makes Ireland and Donegal great.

Firstly the staff worked vigilantly to ensure Covid rules were met - well done Leo’s. The food was great. Highly recommend the prawn cocktail. We had chowder too and the kids meals fab size and flavour. They have managed to create a fantastic atmosphere in the restaurant at a time when this is very difficult to achieve. Well done and we will be back to enjoy a meal again soon.

We ate here with three young children aged 3/5/8. Service was very good, place itself is very homely. Food was fantastic both for the children and ourselves and it was very reasonable. We would definitely go back and I would highly recommend to anyone.
