A small family winery in Porrera where the owner personally showed me around. His passion and deep knowledge of winemaking was certainly very evident. And tasting a range of his wines was an experience. Their Coranya and Clos Monlleo wines were stunning, expertly crafted and...More

This is a rich, informative tour. Our guide, Maria, one of the 4 family members carrying forth the wine-making tradition, spoke excellent English, which was very welcome in this very Catalan area. She covered everything -- the history of Priorat wines and her family, planting,...More

Such a pleasure to taste excellent wine made by a local family. Maria was so informative and the wine is excellent. Do come and visit if you are in the area. We will be back.

a highlight of our trip was to Sangenis Vaque where we had access to the winery and family home. Our trip was 4 years ago and I have bought cases on their Moncayo wine, a favorite

We enjoyed a fun and illuminating tour of the Sangenis/Vaque conducted by Nuria the younger daughter of the winemaker, Pere Sangenis. The tastings were a marvel with one reserve bottling we tasted perfectly aged in situ nearly a dozen years after vintage. And don't miss...More

Maria offered a lovely tour throughout their parents winery. This winery started in the 70s when Priorat was a marginal winery region struggling to survive. The love and effort put by Maria's parents shows on their current range of wines without a doubt
