beautiful sight

A rare sight in France / Europe, such a gorgeous pool under a big waterfall, but just a sight it is: you can't go near or in the pool

Great view and nice walk
Aug 2019 • Family
Great cascade, which can be accessed via various mud roads through the forest.

Also worthwhile is to go down the way towards the river bank, as then you can walk a few hundreds of meters along the riverbank that is very nice.

Obviously you shall take shoes that are appropriate (e.g. runnings).

Beautiful, relatively accessible waterfall
Aug 2019
A very pretty waterfall that looks as good when you get there as it does in the photos. A gentle 15 minute walk from the nearby 8th May car park gets you to the viewing area. Be aware that, although the signs show 'accessible route' the path in fact has forty or so fairly steep, rocky steps. There are handrails but this is only suitable for fairly able people.
A little disappointing to see rubbish underneath the viewing platform but otherwise this was a worthwhile stop on our journey and a stunning waterfall.

Too dangerous to swim
Sep 2019
Swimming is strictly forbidden. Falling rocks and slippery mud make the area after the big waterfall dangerous. A smaller waterfall down stream collapsed in February 2019.
My rating is to warn visitors.
The big waterfall is pretty but avoid it in summer

Beautifull & unexpected
Aug 2018 • Family
We got a tip to go there. They told us to keep on walking, to bring good shoes, and something to drink.
It was just beautifull, we were alone, at the far end. A lot of people stop in the middle.
It was the highlight/surprise of our holiday

Stunning place but you're not allowed to Swim!
Jun 2019 • Family
Absolutely stunning and worth the 10/15 minute walk - fairly easy and accessible for most albeit there are a few steps.
Unfortunately the whole area is fenced off now so you cannot swim (due to rock corrosion) nor can you go downstream to other waterfalls as per some of the past reviews. According to a local you have to walk on the opposite side for approximately an hour from the village (Sillans) to reach the waterfalls/rock pools where you can swim.

Not allowed to swim
Sep 2018 • Couples
After 20mins walk, from the car park by the village, to access the crowded viewing platform of the waterfall and natural pool below there are signs saying swimming not allowed. Access that used to be via a gravel slope has been fenced off so those needing to cool off were scrambling to the water on the other side of the fence! Disappointing having paid to park to later discover that there were so many restrictions to the water. Dogs are allowed along the riverside path if on a lead.

Amazing nature pool
Jul 2018 • Family
At this cery hot days a lot if people swim in the smal nature pools and they were enjoyed picnics there.
Unfortumately it wasn’t allowed visit the place under the cascade and the guards guarded the place. We could see the cascade only from the hill in front of it.

Sunny day to sit out on the square--Wife had duck with mashed potatoes +I cannot remember what I had as an entre but I do remember the wild rice as a side dish which I enjoyed. Very good along with the service. Very nice active village square.
