The waterfall and pools downstream are beautiful, but sadly have been ruined through over-policing by park rangers. Recently installed obstructive fences and aggressive and unsightly signs aim to force people down a single path from the overpriced car parking to the crowded viewing platform (motivated only through greed and money).
A path down to the pools downstream from the falls is possible on the south side of river (although there seemed to be some confusion amongst rangers with some stopping and others allowing people down).
However, once again it was impossible to enjoy the once idyllic surroundings when confronted on all sides with fences, ugly metal barriers and signs warning you to not venture off the path or swim in the perfectly safe pools just downstream of the main waterfall.
Reasons given by the rangers for these restrictions varied from 'danger of rockfall and unstable paths' to 'a private individual's recent purchase of the land around but not including the waterfall and pools' to simply 'not wanting people to get lost in the woods...' Perhaps, a simple warning would suffice and rather than enforcing this upon everyone, give people the freedom to make their own decisions based on their experience and preparation regarding what risk they are willing to take on.
When we went 2 summers ago, the pools which are now blocked off were almost empty so I doubt that overcrowding was the issue. The majority are seemingly content with the walk to the viewpoint for a photo opportunity. A hint to everyone who wants to enjoy the pools as they once were in peace: head down the south path after about 5.30pm when the rangers have gone home. This is what we and several others did and were able to enjoy the pools in relative solitude.

Nothing special. Paid parking in the area...about twenty minutes in single file along a fenced path with tall sticks. I felt like I was the little lab mouse in the maze. As you go, you arrive at a platform built over the waterfall. You take the photo, waiting your turn and then....you turn around and leave because there's not much else you can do. It was hot and humid so it was a tiring walk with steps and climbs. I do not recommend it for children, the elderly and those with blood pressure problems: no.
I expected better, something more, not hit-and-run tourism. You only go there to take a photo because then there isn't even room to spread out a towel and sit in the shade. I saw a couple of tables with benches: at midday one was in the sun and the other in the shade. Obviously they were fighting for it....
No I wouldn't go back. For me it's not worth it.
I forgot there is a bathing ban.

A Trip Tip is better to buy at the local bar a postcard of the waterfall you will see better than live. If this waterfall is the pride of the village that bears his name, the development planned around it to access it is a horror largely spoiling the beauty of the site. Path partitioned by 2m high barriers preventing to see the beauty of the surrounding trees. We walk 20 min behind each other like sheep to finally arrive at an insecure platform of 15m2 where we have to wait his turn to get there. From there you can actually see this beautiful waterfall but only 2 min because people are waiting their turn.
Paid and expensive parking. Makeshift itinerant businesses. No swimming area.
The development of the site is a disaster.
For the defense of developers, the site is on a dangerous zone because Rock very friable because permeable. Then why did you absolutely want to develop this site? Ah yes for the money of course.
Pass your way there are a thousand things to see around. Free and natural.

Short obligatory route to reach the panoramic point from which you can observe the waterfalls from afar. It is not possible to swim or leave the route... if you add the parking which after the first half hour costs €1 every quarter of an hour... I absolutely do not recommend it

the waterfall is beautiful!! so why only put 2 stars? simply because the path is completely marked with ganivelles allowing no access and barely see the forest. Weary 25mn path to get to the waterfall! but here you will have to wait , because only 30 people can stay on the balcony of 25m2, which allows by jostling along a 5m railing to observe the waterfall. Circulate, ladies and gentlemen. Far prefer the charm and romanticism of the Caramy Falls to Carcès...

Paid parking (expensive! 5€) to access the waterfall site where we are informed by signs along the path that it is prohibited for swimming, picnicking... and which access is closed. It would be more honest to warn in advance, at the parking lot, that we won't see much. All the sites praising the magnificent waterfall are lying to us since we will never be able to reach it!

Super expensive parking, you take a walk of more than 20 minutes in the forest on a path entirely partitioned by canis. No bench to sit and finish in front of the waterfall on a steel headland where you can see the waterfall from a distance. Can't get close. Watch out for the fake 5 star review

Magnificent waterfall with lots of water in spring. Impressed by the facilities throughout the descent towards the waterfall. This follows the very large crowds of recent years. These expensive investments probably justify the price of parking

A car trip through Provence is always interesting, and the small town itself is also homely...but because access to the waterfall, the basin and the drains is no longer permitted, the trip is unfortunately only worth it to a limited extent!
The very last thing, however, is that you get completely "ripped off" at the parking spaces indicated below, charging 19 euros for a 2-hour stay. That's why I can't recommend the waterfall as a destination.

It is a fact, the waterfall is beautiful!... But clearly the site is a victim of its success. Therefore, only one possible access to observe it: a gateway that accepts no more than 30 people at a time! So we queue and we don’t linger because others wait... Bof!...
