Great cascade, which can be accessed via various mud roads through the forest.
Also worthwhile is to go down the way towards the river bank, as then you can walk a few hundreds of meters along the riverbank that is very nice.
Obviously you shall take shoes that are appropriate (e.g. runnings).

The path starts by the car park past the Mairie. Once you find it, it's about a 20 minute walk to the falls, The path is well defined and there are several sign posts, so it would be difficult to get lost.
In past years you could get right to the base of the falls, but it is now fenced off due to the danger of rock and earth falls. You can still follow the path along the river, although there's a bit of climbing over tree trunks etc. It's worth the effort as there are mini falls and pools along the way.
It's a really enjoyable walk and the falls are worth seeing. We visited in November and there were quite a few people on the path, due to the lovely weather. The trees along the way were full of lovely autumn colours. Well worth a stroll.

A hidden gem just 1 km away from village Sillans de Cascade. Leave your car on parking site and across the road, you see the path. Walk along the path in woods until you see the stone stairs going down. Easiest way is to follow others visitors. Recommended to arrive in the morning because of a lack of parking space. Put good shoes on.The waterfall runs into turquoise water and continues as a river. There are limited and overprised restaurant services in village so take your own food and drink. Better restaurants can be found either in Cotignac (7 km) or Barjols (17 km).

The waterfall and pools downstream are beautiful, but sadly have been ruined through over-policing by park rangers. Recently installed obstructive fences and aggressive and unsightly signs aim to force people down a single path from the overpriced car parking to the crowded viewing platform (motivated only through greed and money).
A path down to the pools downstream from the falls is possible on the south side of river (although there seemed to be some confusion amongst rangers with some stopping and others allowing people down).
However, once again it was impossible to enjoy the once idyllic surroundings when confronted on all sides with fences, ugly metal barriers and signs warning you to not venture off the path or swim in the perfectly safe pools just downstream of the main waterfall.
Reasons given by the rangers for these restrictions varied from 'danger of rockfall and unstable paths' to 'a private individual's recent purchase of the land around but not including the waterfall and pools' to simply 'not wanting people to get lost in the woods...' Perhaps, a simple warning would suffice and rather than enforcing this upon everyone, give people the freedom to make their own decisions based on their experience and preparation regarding what risk they are willing to take on.
When we went 2 summers ago, the pools which are now blocked off were almost empty so I doubt that overcrowding was the issue. The majority are seemingly content with the walk to the viewpoint for a photo opportunity. A hint to everyone who wants to enjoy the pools as they once were in peace: head down the south path after about 5.30pm when the rangers have gone home. This is what we and several others did and were able to enjoy the pools in relative solitude.

Went on Fri pm for a possible swim.We were very much looking forward to this.Unfortunately the site did not look anything like these photos as there were literally hundreds of people and their dogs there all tentatively wanting to get into the water. Not at all quiet or peaceful!
Our daughter bravely went in for a quick swim, but we couldn't wait to get away from the commotion.

We struggled to find the right path at first and walked along the river bank which was a little tricky and then upon turning back and going along the main path we saw the sign for the correct direction. The walk down is a little steep but with the right shoes it's fine. The waterfall is beautiful and the water below is so blue. We tried to find other paths to get to some of the other pools but we didn't have much joy.
Well worth a visit even though it can get quite busy on the viewing platform - there were 5 professional photographers there when we arrived and they took up a lot of room!

If you are coming from Toulon, you enter in Sillans la cascade and you have a light. In fact the light is for the bridge wich is quite narrow; right after the small bridge you have a big parking place on your right side. Park your car over there and you'll see a small building and a picnick area with two tables, between them starts the road to the waterfall.

Lovely view from the right bank (skirt the church and walk across the fields). The unattractive path on the left bank is dangerously steep and difficult and a number of tourists fell over when we were there. Certainly not for young children or unathletic adults - but the walk on the right bank is easy and pleasant.
Avoid in summer, too crowded. Lovely in early spring.

Swimming is strictly forbidden. Falling rocks and slippery mud make the area after the big waterfall dangerous. A smaller waterfall down stream collapsed in February 2019.
My rating is to warn visitors.
The big waterfall is pretty but avoid it in summer

Absolutely stunning and worth the 10/15 minute walk - fairly easy and accessible for most albeit there are a few steps.
Unfortunately the whole area is fenced off now so you cannot swim (due to rock corrosion) nor can you go downstream to other waterfalls as per some of the past reviews. According to a local you have to walk on the opposite side for approximately an hour from the village (Sillans) to reach the waterfalls/rock pools where you can swim.
