Relaxing and with good beer

I have visited several times, especially in summer weather. The beers are very good. I loved the unusual flavors. The service is swift and the atmosphere relaxed. This is definitely a good place to stop off on when visiting this historic port town.

Cool and chill place

Cool and chill place where you can enjoy many types of good beers. Their beach right next to the brewery called “Colonel Reef” is also one of the chillest and best beach places in Lebanon. The atmosphere is very calm and enjoyable.

Class reunion

Very nice place with very tasty beers... If you go there, make sure you try the Lager one... One of the best beers in Lebanon.
We were there for a school class reunion and we took the "Formula" the waiter has proposed, the food was not up to the expectations and doesn't worth the money we paid for it... Luckily we had open beers!
The music was too loud but the ambiance and scenery were nice!

The Colonel is a craft beer establishment located in Batroun, Lebanon. I first went to the Colonel back in September 2015 and on this trip we had our best friends from the States with us and I was hoping to impress them with Lebanon’s only ‘Micro-Brewery’.
I was a bit surprised at the general appearance of the Colonel as it did not appear to be well maintained. The outdoor terraces wood flooring was cracked and in some places not level and the outdoor chairs had a: “well used appearance” with tears and broken wheels, etc!

We had the Five Beer “Flight” or Sampler and once we received them (as it took over 15 minutes) we were a bit disappointed as there were actually only four different beers as the fruity tasting beer was duplicated! The waited apologized for the delay and duplication as he said they were having some major troubles with the draft beer pumps? Never less three of the four beer samples were quite good.

We ordered the Chips and Salsa and to be honest we could not eat them as firstly the Mexican chips were BBQ or ‘Smoked’ flavored and second the Salsa was tasteless and unsavory! That was a waste in my humble opinion!

Over all this visit did not live-up-to my expectations, so a return visit may be a long way off…

Delightful treat just outside of Beirut

Only tried the the blond beers, but they were perfect for the setting. Nothing that will blow your mind, but a craft brew is refreshing. The adjacent beach, Colonel Reef, is also a great place to spend the afternoon with friends, kayaking, or learning to windsurf. the crowd was really relaxed and the service great. For food, the vegetable sides are delicious and for a main, just go select the fresh fish to be cooked; it was delicious. We will be back.

We went there to celebrate the day of music. Great bands offered the best gigs while we enjoyed lots of beer.
They have many varieties and also have fruit infused beers like lychee and passion fruit.

Amazing beer, lovely atmosphere

We really enjoyed this place, it's really worth a visit. They also have a bar on the beach where you can swim and relax. Highly recommend this place.
