We did the 3.5 hour morning kayak tour across Kealakekua Bay to the Captain Cook monument. Our guide Jamal was very enthusiastic with loads of energy. He spent time in the shop talking us through the history of the area and what had happened to Captain Cook here before we set out for our snorkel, which was great. Note that... More

Very friendly and well run trip to snorkel at Captain Cook monument. We saw quite a few spinner dolphins. The real highlight was the snorkeling. The quantity and variety of fish were amazing and visibility was excellent. We have snorkeled in quite a few places over the years and can say that this was top notch. We took an early... More

This was a fantastic experience! Our guide - Will - was fantastic. Funny, knowledgeable and made us both feel really relaxed. We had done a snorkel at Molokini on a boat trip and wanted to try something a little different. We were the only ones on this trip which made it extremely personal and the kayaks meant we had greater... More

Fantastic day. First, this company is owned by people of native Hawaiian heritage which makes the trip more interesting in my opinion. Second, the kayaking across the bay is easy, smooth water, and they help you if you are really weak (as two people were in our boat). If you are inexperienced, do not hesitate. Third, the snorkeling is easy--wearing... More

We started our five hour kayak and snorkeling trip with a great big warm welcome from Jamal our guide. He quickly went through the paperwork process and began to give us a great history lesson. This was the best snorkeling we have ever done. Jamal was knowledgeable, funny, and very caring. He not only took care of everyone on the... More

Excellent guide - Jamal loved "talking story" about local history, marine biology, etc. Kayaking not too strenuous for the inexperienced. Location perfect - tho a little crowded at the end when several tour boats came. And there WAS a ladder for getting out of the water for a break!

This was a five hour trip with kayaking over the Kealakekua Bay to snorkel near the Captain Cook Monument and hopefully to see spinner dolphins. The kayaks, PFDs, lunch, water and snorkeling gear were all provided. Parking was not easy to find, but it worked. Our guide, Jamal, was a very energetic and personable young man and he made a... My family enjoyed this excursion and the staff is very knowledgeable. The owner provides historical information about Captain Cook, how he ended up landing on the Big Island, and eventually lost his life. I found this fascinating as you could envision all this while you are kayaking across the bay. My twenty-four year old son snorkeled when we reached the... More

Our family of 6 did the 3.5 hour morning kayak/snorkeling trip to Captain Cook Monument. Jamal and Brian were wonderful knowledgable hosts. Jamal gave us a great, colorful history of the area and Captain Cook and his experience with the Hawaiiians. The kayaking was beautiful, not rushed, with time to stop and watch the dolphins. Snorkeling equipment was great and... More

Jamal's knowledge and teaching of the history and Hawaiian culture is so interesting. His passion and respect for all marine life and the environment... More
