There were 9 in our group plus our guide Jamal. We started at the shop where we got an introduction to our tour and where we paid. The emphasis on tips was a bit heavy (especially prior to the tour by adding to a credit pmt) and they charge a 2% credit card surcharge. Then you drive your vehicle to... More

This is an awesome shop! Our instructor was Will. He was super chill and really knew a lot about the island and the environment, and was super resourceful using natural leaves growing in the area to keep our snorkel masks clear. We learned a lot about the history of the area and nature. The tour is a bit physical, but... More

Our tour was cancelled due to inclement weather in March, which is fine. These things happen, but Aloha Kayak will not refund us our money despite repeated emails and phone calls. So just beware if for any reason your trip is cancelled you will not get your money back.

After an informative, fun and interesting introduction to what we would see, do and learn by Aloha Kayak's owner, we started the day with great expectations. Jamal and Matt, our guides, delivered by exceeding those expectations throughout the day. Every aspect of the kayaking and snorkeling was executed safely with many insights into the history, geology and biology of the... More

There was 14 of us that did the sea cave kayak tour. The water was rough so we didn't get to go into the cave. We still had a blast and thought this was a ton of fun. The snorkeling wasn't all that great either. Jumping off the cliff was a ton of fun though. The guides were funny and... More

These guys were great! Our guides, Jamal and Matt, did a great job- they were helpful and patient with those in the group who struggled while keeping the rest engaged with interesting information and history of the area. They provided good equipment and clear instructions. A wonderful experience!!!

This was so much fun and adventurous. Our guides were Jamal and Matt for the morning of June 10, 2016. Unfortunately we didn't spot any spinner dolphins on our trip but the kayak across the bay to the Captain Cook monument was very fun and the snorkeling the best I've experienced yet. I'd highly recommend this company!

We booked a kayak and snorkeling adventure with Aloha Kayak Co. and it was a blast. The Kealakekua Bay is a definite must for snorkeling. Our guide was Jamal who was AWESOME! He was very informative and his mannerisms were very professional yet laid back. He's a very hard worker. If you are going to the Big Island, you must... More

What I experienced on the morning five hour tour was something I wouldn't forget. Snorkelling and kayaking with wild dolphins and being able to swim among many marine animals was phenomenal. However, this tour is one of those experiences where you're in control of how much you enjoy it. I (17) went with my dad and we drove all the... More

This was the best excursion we had on the island!! Jamal was a fantastic guide! Forget the expensive name brand tours the crew at aloha kayak co was amazing! Just gave them 5 stars on Yelp and had to post here as well! Went on the early trip with Jamal and Jackson on his first trip and couldn't have been... More
