Visiting Llanddona Beach here on Anglesey! :)
Apr 2021
Llanddona Beach is simply stunning! The forest backdrop, the views out to sea, and the actual size, scope and expanse of the beach, make this a, 'hidden gem' of a beach here on Anglesey. Just be very careful on the approach road to and from the beach, and be aware of passing traffic / passing points and pedestrians / walkers etc. Enjoy! :)

Beware of the extremely rude lady who runs the cafe.
Aug 2020 • Family
Stunning beach, has toilets however old dirty no soap dryers paper etc. Cafe ran by a very rude lady - was told to avoid but we had our own supplies anyway.
Nice spot to overnight on in a campervan.

Warning = access via a steep single-track lane!
Dec 2019
Yesterday (Friday afternoon), Hubby and me visited friends who were holidaying at Hen Felin Uchaf. Their modern bungalow overlooked this remote beach which is located at the east end of Red Wharf Bay inbetween Beaumaris and Benllech.

We accessed it from the small village of Llanddona, just past the Owain Glyndwr Pub. The narrow winding country lane has an initial gradient of 25% for 1 mile down to St. Dona's Church, then it steepens to a 35% gradient down to the beach/traeth. It has minimal to zero passing places. My Hubby is a careful Corsa driver but from a passenger point of view, I found this route (both down and up) quite stressful!

The bay itself was clean and quiet, with a just a few dog walkers ambling along the Anglesey coastal path.

ignore the toilet humour
Aug 2019
Toilets were fine - ignored the fact how clean they were - hope you never have to use the 'hole in the floor' in Lecce's football ground.
Then again I went to visit the beach - fabulous, and the café,is perfect.
I can't imagine given the location that the council can afford a full time caretaker, but then most families (and walkers) are well prepared for such eventualities - wet wipes at the ready.
If you are visiting a beautiful beach (as I was) fabulous - if you are visiting toilets, then can I recommend the Philharmonic pub in Liverpool

Terrible Toilets - broken seats, no paper, broken flusher.
Jun 2019 • Family
If you need to go then AVOID at all costs. These must be the worst toilets I've ever had the misfortune to use. No paper, the flusher doesn't work, no locks on the doors, seats broken. In this day and age, and in a tourist area, the locals and the council should hang their heads in shame. GET THEM FIXED.

Fabulous stretch of quiet beach
Jun 2018 • Friends
Found our way to this beach as we were staying nearby. It’s a Blue Flag Beach with free parking and a lovely cafe Sauls Beach Bar which had reasonably priced drinks and snacks with a smile.
Endless possibilities for family fun here.
The approach road is steep but careful navigation has its pay offs with a quiet beach.
