An astounding, beautiful. classy. gorgeous piece of Omani architecture with a remarkable array of exhibits dating back across Omani history. Open even when other museums are closed and well worth the visit if you are in Muscat.

You are sure to be amazed by the history of Oman in this modern museum where the different parts of its history are very well presented, all within a magnificent building.

We really enjoyed our visit of the National Museum. The Museum does a great job of telling the story of Oman, and has the information in English as well as Arabic so everything is really easy to follow.

When we visited this museum had only been open for 2 months. It's a celebration of Omani history and definitely worth a visit. We are not history buffs but we certainly did enjoy it.
