I just came back from a 2 week holiday with Sunshine Tours Oman on an extensive tour all over Oman for X-Mas/New Years. We are a small group of 5 experienced travelers from Hong Kong and quite selective, we made last minute requests and numerous changes to the itinerary, but Mohammed and his team was so responsive and helped processed all the changes and every request.
We flew into Muscat connecting through Bangkok, Mohammed and his team took care of us once we landed and immediately escorted us to our hotel to begin our adventure. The next morning, we went to Hawaiyat Najm (known also as the Bimmah Sinkhole or the Dabab Sinkhole), White Sand Beach, and Wadi Tiwi. Wadi Tiwi is an amazing oasis, it is great for nature lovers and adventure seekers as you can swim through the valley after hiking to see the cave. We ended the evening at the Ras Al Ginz Turtle reserve and was lucky enough to witness turtles laying eggs. The next day, we ventured to Sur for amazing pictures of the coast, a visit to the Dhow (sail vessel) factory, Ghazal farm and headed to Wahiba Sands Desert to catch the sunset. We stayed for 2 nights in desert camp. Afterwards we headed to other destinations: Nizwa, Gebal Shams and Daymanyat Island for snorkeling with turtles and sea life. My friends and I also booked a night to watch performance at the Opera house, exotic shopping at the Mutrah Souq (market) for frankincense and other goodies. We ended NYE celebration at the Ritz Carlton Al Bustan Palace for a fabulous dinner. The best aspect of the trip however, are the Omani people. You will find that the people of Oman are very friendly with open hearts, the people are very pure.
We were lucky enough to have Hamood, the best guide. Hamood was very flexible on our itinerary, he made suggestions along the way and his humor made the trip very fun and memorable. The guide speaks fluent English and is very knowledgeable of each location. The drivers are skillful and safe, vehicles are very clean and tidy, the guides and drivers took very good care of us. The guides are not just knowledgeable, but they also know where to go for good photos.
During the trip planning stage and the entire trip, Mohammed and his crew are so flexible and accommodating. They really understand what you need, Sunshine Tours Oman is not about taking your money, but they provide fantastic services and they set very high standards for themselves. I highly recommend Sunshine Tour Oman.

My husband and I came to Oman for the first half of our honeymoon, and we had 2 day trips booked with Sunshine Tours to see parts of Oman outside the capital city of Muscat. Words cannot express how amazing our tour experience was.
Our tour guide Majid was so wonderful - a loveable personality who also knew every little detail and hidden gem about the areas we were visiting. Our first day was spent touring the Sink Hole, white sand beach, and Wadi Shab, which became an amazing hiking and cave swimming experience on the perfect warm weather day! Majid was great at not just giving us the background on these places, but also guiding us on land and in water expertly (the wadi can be a bit challenging to swim!) We finished the day with a yummy lunch at a local restaurant and then a trip to Wadi Tiwi which offered the most amazing hilltop views.
For our second day, Majid convinced us to start our tour early (6am) to see the goat market in Nizwa, and it did not disappoint! While we also toured the souk afterwards, seeing the early morning goat market and the families that were out with their animals was one of my favorite moments. Majid navigated us expertly through the souk, where we saw vegetables, live animals, dates, jewelry and more.
We then made our way to the Nizwa fort, where we learned about the history of Nizwa, the fort and local culture. My husband was able to jump in and dance with the local men and boys who dressed in traditional garb and danced and sang throughout the compound.
Our day finished with a drive up to Green Mountain to experience the priceless views from the top, as well as a brief stop to the hotel which sits on the site known for Diana and Charles’ visit back in the 80s. We then went to Falaj Al-Khatmeen to see the local irrigation system that supplies water to the garden areas, followed by a gorgeous drive through tree cover and past the lush gardens. The pinnacle end the trip was a STEEP ascent up a side road and to the top of a major hill to get one final view over the tree canopy.
I can’t say enough about how amazing our tour guide Majid was - a knowledgable and engaging guide, as well as a wonderful and fun person to spend 2 days with. I was also expressed with Maymona with Sunshine Tours, who helped me arrange everything by email and reached out by WhatsApp to confirm details the day prior. We highly recommend Majid and Sunshine Tours Oman to anyone visiting Oman and wanting to see it from a local’s point of view.

We had a great experience touring Oman and a large part is thanks to our guide, Saif who works for Sunshine. His motto to us was “we can organise whatever my guests would like to do most”. He has an excellent attitude - patient, good company to have and is knowledgeable about Oman’s history and culture. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring Wahiba sands and all the Wadis ( Bani Khalid and Shan) and learning more about Oman. We spent a day with another guide Mr Nabhani who also spoke excellent English, safe driving and went out of his way to make our experience a memorable one. Both guides spoke highly working for Sunshine Tours which speaks volumes of the way the business is run, motivating the best guides to work with them to provide guests with a good experience. We had a very good experience right from the beginning when we were planning our itinerary with Sunshine Tours (thanks Maymona!) right to the end when we were dropped at the airport (thanks Saed!) We would highly recommend anyone visiting Oman and to engage Sunshine tours for a good and holistic experience!

We’re a group of 5 experienced traveler who just got back from a 14-day trip with Sunshine Tours around Oman covering mainly Bimmah sinkhole, Wadi Al Shab, Ras Al Ginz, Wadi Bani Khalid, Wahiba Sands desert, Birkat Al Mouz, Nizwa, Wadi Bani Aouf, Rustaq Fort, Daymaniyat Island and a Muscat city tour. A very big thank you to the owner Mohammed and his assistant Maymona for accommodating our numerous changes in such a short time frame (we booked our tour in late October for a December peak season departure!).
The tour involved quite a diverse range of activity – snorkeling, sunset watching over the sand dunes, swimming in the gorge, cultural visit to historical sites, mild hiking, shopping, etc. but we didn’t ride the camel as we’re all animal lovers ;). We were extremely lucky to have Hamood as our guide for this long trip (and also Abdullah as the wonderful driver in the other car as we have 2 cars in total). Hamood has done a fantastic job in looking after all of us. I have been on a lot of private tours around the world but I have never came across one who would do almost everything with you – hiking, swimming, shopping, photography, etc. to make sure we’re in safe hands – he even pose at all the cultural sites as our model because most of us are keen photographers! We all went home full of fond memories of this lovely country and the people and of course countless number of stunning shots. Hamood really went the extra mile to make sure his guests have a fabulous time in Oman.
To me, Oman is not just another Middle East country. It is an underrated gem. Apart from its beautiful scenery and culture, its more about its friendly and loving people that made you feel like home. Thank you once again to Sunshine Tours and and it’s staff. I would highly recommend Sunshine Tours if any of you are thinking of going to Oman.

We have just come back from this great trip as I have to say Oman is definitely a magic place for the beauty of its colourful landscape, for its culture, traditions and lovely and respectful people. We had the chance to organise our tour to Wadi Shab & Mimmah Sinkhole with Mohammed of Sunshine Tours : a great choice for the quality-price combination and for the kindness and professionalism of our tour guide Faisal, so attentive to satisfy all our expectations. We are planning to come back and visit all the other amazing places we missed this time and we will definitely contact Sunshine Tours again who I recommend to anyone . A huge thank you once again

We have booked two days private tour with Sunshine Tours. From the beginning the service is excellent. After I sent them an email enquiring the tour, Maymona immediately contacted me through email and then whatsapp. She recommend a few options for us and we eventually decided to do one day private tour to Wadi Shab and one day tour to Nizwa and Jebel Akhda r. When we arrived in Muscat, she assigned Khalid to us as our driver and guider.
Khalid was great, he is very polite, on time, considerable and speaks very good English. He puts a lot of thought in the guide and we get to know Omani and their lifestyle/mindset a bit through talking to him along the journey. He drives very steady and careful, especially in the road to and from Jebel Akhdar. We have a 8 year old who is a bit car sick (usually on the mountainous road), but he drives very carefully and we feel totally safe. He led us to local restaurants for lunch, very very tasty with good value.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two days tour with Sunshine Tours and it worth every bit of money we paid. Highly recommend them to families who comes to Oman and want to explore variety of this lovely country in limited time. Thank you Maymona and Khalid, for giving us such great experience!

We stopped in Muscat as part of a cruise ship itinerary for a day. I emailed Sunshine Tours in advance and they made an affordable and timely itinerary for us. Maymona texted me immediately via Whatsapp and communication was excellent. Once there, our guide Khalfan was wonderful: courteous, knowledgeable, kind, kept us on time, and was flexible when we needed extra time. We also had the opportunity to visit Mohammed's (the company's owner) house to share a snack of fruits, dates and coffee. Their hospitality, openness and kindness was one of the highlight of our entire trip. You will not have a better time and service than with Sunshine Tours.

Sunshine tours truly go above and beyond the job description. I booked this tour THE DAY BEFORE my sisters from the U.K were due to visit because of Covid uncertainty and the owner (Mohammed Thani) answered the phone, explained prices, tailored the best deal to suit our needs and sent a typed plan within the hour. Very professional, honest and efficient.
Our guide Rashid was so chill and lovely, it felt like an uncle taking us out on a family trip. I would highly recommend for all female groups who want to travel around with peace of mind and experience Oman to the fullest. A huge thank you to Rashid for looking out for us, standing in queues for us and teaching us about all the delicious food Oman has to offer. We forgot our bags and Rashid dropped them off AND gifted us with some delicious date sweets. Above and beyond.

We couldn't have chosen a better travel company for our trip to Oman.
During the booking process, I liaised with Maymona and Mohammed who were both very patient and accommodating to our requests, questions and changes to the itinerary. We booked an 8-day private tour with 3 extra days at the end. The price of the tour was the best value for money of all the quotes that we received from various tour companies. All accommodation, transfers, transport, entrance fees, breakfast and dinners were included. There were no hidden costs.
The tour with Sunshine Tours Oman was excellent! It was well-paced and thorough. The trip was filled with a variety of different experiences which we got to see and enjoy with a fantastic tour guide. From swimming in the breathtaking Wadi's to riding camels in the magnificent Wahiba Sands desert, Oman has many beautiful sights to see.
Our tour guide Mr Rashid was very knowledgeable, kind and patient. He shared so much of the Omani history and culture with us.
He spoilt me with my favourite Karak tea every day and my husband with his favourite lebnani bread with Chips Oman :)
Mr Rashid went the extra mile to take us to the best local shops and ensured that we got good deals. He even allowed us to drive on the dunes in the Wahiba Sands desert which added to the fun experience. We shared many meals, laughs and conversations with Mr Rashid, making it feel like we are family.
Ahmed (Mr Mohammed's son) is a rising star. He did the airport pick up and drop off and also took us for our COVID test.
What stands out the most about Sunshine Tours Oman is their hospitality, generosity and how genuinely nice everyone is. Mr Mohammed also invited us for a lovely dinner at his house. On our free day he heard that we plan on going by taxi to the Muttrah souk (which is about 25km away), he insisted to take us and he even surprised us with a delicious lunch at our guesthouse on one of our free days. It is these things and so much more which made our experience with Sunshine Tours Oman absolutely amazing!

We (2 ladies) booked an 8h trip to Nizwa (souq, fort) and Jebel Akhdar. Our guide Nabheni was excellent, he made us feel very comfortable at any time and is a very safe driver on the steep mountain roads. The landscape is stunning and so worth the visit! Nabheni took us to beautiful lookouts and gave us great insights into the Omani culture, and any question was welcome. He recommended which dates to get on the souq and organised a nice sandwich lunch as well as several tea breaks. The day could not have been any better. I would definitely book Sunshine Tours again.

Hi, trying to get a tour to Jebel Shams / Jebel Akhdar etc but as a single traveller this is impossible without taking a 4WD private tour a paying the full amount. Are there any alternatives?

Io ha fatto prima una mail al loro indirizzo chiedendo qualche consiglio di tour di più giorni.
Poi mi hanno lasciato cellulare e ho definito i dettagli per un tour personalizzato via whatsapp.
Bellissima esperienza con guida (qambar) molto cordiale e gentile che ci ha accompagnato per tutto il viaggio
