7 Days trekking through the desert, who could have thought this would be such an amazing trip. We started our journey in Bidiyah and from there we walked every day, rode the camels and enjoyed amazing stories and insight in the local life in the desert. Every night we would sit by a campfire and enjoying the amazing night skies. This trip would not have been possible without our guides, Abdullah and Mohammed, Hearts of gold! They made sure our trip was unforgettable, we never lacked of anything, enough food and drinks, and rest when we needed it. And of course thanks to Hamad for organising an unforgettable trip!

Yes, seven days and six nights crossing the desert... I can't say enough about it. It was magical, beautiful, unforgettable and a priceless experience. Abdulla and Mohammed, our guides, have hearts of gold, they are beautiful human beings. They made everything to understand us and to make us feel happy. Always very friendly, happy, willing to help. Beautiful people! We rode the camels and walked through the desert. Everyday, that is all we did. The stars, the silence, the dunes were incredible. The Bedouins we got to meet in the desert were also beautiful people. They were great hosts! They gave us chai, goat's milk, dates... they were always very welcoming (in hindsight, I would have liked to bring presents with me to give to people when we visited their homes). My husband and I are very grateful with Hamad and Bediyah Tours for facilitating this experience. We are dreaming to go back... Thank you all!

We were 2 friends and we booked the 1 night camel ride in the desert. The owner was very friendly and easy to discuss with. We started our day with Abdula, our guide. He had coffee and dates for us and we started our camel ride. I really enjoyed the peaceful ride in the desert. The camp was beyond my expectations! Nice beds and even a shower ! The meal was very good as well. We spent most of our time with Abdula and even if his English is far from perfect, we have been able to communicate a lot ! The other guide who came to help was lovely too (aka Abdula #2) :P Over all a very nice experience. The only negative point would be that we could see the city lights from our camp, so it was bright and I didn't really feel I was in the middle of nowhere... But if you have a camp that is at a different position then the dunes would probably hide the city view. I recommend this company. Very professional and easy to deal with. They give work to the locals so a good way to support the community :)

We opted for 3 day 2 night tour covering villages near al hamra such as misfat al jabreen then overnight at Jebel shams, nizwa, bani wadi Khalid, wahiba Sands camp, bimmah sinkhole, pebble Beach and back to Muscat. For us the highlight was our stay and experience at wahiba sand camp, it's only couple of huts so you get peace and quiet and the night sky is quite magical. Our host Hamad was very warm, welcoming and shared many stories of local people and life in desert. The boys in his camp looked after us very well and were wonderful. The camp has shower and toilet facilities which are very clean but note that an odd beetle may wander in. They provided fresh towels, dinner was good, breakfast was very nice with a lovely view over dunes. In hindsight we should have just done wahiba Sands and sur, and nearby places instead of squeezing in Jebel shams which is really faraway.. We felt the first two days we spent 80% time on the road and rest viewing attractions.. It's better to spend 4-5 days to properly explore our itinerary without feeling rushed. I was worried about signing up online however Oman is safe and the transaction was smooth. I transfered deposit online by bank transfer (from Singapore) and it took us few days to get set up as Omani riyal is exotic currency and noone could make the transfer without massive charges. We eventually transferred in USD. I suggest if Bediyah can set up PayPal account it will make transfers easier for international travelers. I highly recommend booking via Bediyah
