This park was a surprise find. We arrived at dusk, and the sky was beautiful. They were preparing for the Iftar, and there was an expectant atmosphere in the park. It was quiet and calm and very well maintained. We wandered as far as the lake. It looks like parts of the park are under reconstruction, but it is March and so not high season. It's a nice place to watch the sunset.

Very nice natural park. Good for an afternoon stroll or picnic, with nice children's playgrounds, flowers and lake inside.

It's a great place to spend with family, but the bicycle rental service is pathetic. They provide cycles without brake most of the times. Most of the cycles are in a very bad state. My kid got her head bleeding after she tried cycling on a slope on one of those bicycles without a brake. We had to take her to the hospital immediately as her head got injured and was bleeding heavy. If we buy a cycle and find it not good and ask the man to change, he starts a fight and doesnt change it. And does not even refund back the money even after immediately returning him the cycle back.

This park has two parts the natural part which I assume means " nature" and the funpark called Marhaland. The nature park is simply a park and is okay for a walk around in the day, however several local families were sitting having picknicks and many left their rubbish lying there afterwards? The funpark was a rip off on entry you buy a card which you pay for up front. Each ride is around 500bz which is 1.7 $. What they don't tell you is that not all the rides are open. Many are in disrepair and outright dangerous ( electrical wires sticking out, holes in floors, no seat belts on dodgem cars, the water log ride broke down with people stuck at the top. The rides that were open were staffed by people disinterested in being there. Most were constantly on their phones. There were lots of stall type stuff that you had to pay additional to the card. Very disappointed, will not be going back and wouldn't recommend it.

A must go place these days when the weather in Muscat is cool. We went there in the afternoon around 3 pm and the place was buzzing with people. Many families had brought their food along and were enjoying the sunny afternoon. Children were playing all around.
We took our daughter to the play area and she played her heart out. while she played, we sopread our mat under the shade of a tree and spent some lazzzzzzyyyy time!!!
A must visit before it gets hot in Muscat!!

The park is also a sanctuary for some rare birds and plants. Just behind the mangrove tree line (Qurom means Mangrove) the natural park extends quite a large area with lots of lakes and fountains. It used to be the main function area for Muscat festival but nowadays the festivals is held in other parks.
A beautiful place to spend a relaxing day in the park.

The park has lots to offer for just about everyone, but I was there for the birds. Arrived about 06:30 and it was already quite busy, mainly with people exercising.
Plenty of different bird species to see, well worth a visit.

It’s good at all times except mid summer afternoons
6am joggers
8 to 11am family brunch and a amazing park picnic with family games
Then lunch or dinner during winters.
Try to walk all around you will feel refreshed. When I used to call back india during morning hours from this park ppl on the other side would clearly hear parrots singing. It’s centrally locates heaven in muscat city.

It is just east of Shatti. Follow the main dual carriageway towards Muscat centre and you pass it on your left, looking down from Qurum Heights. Locally, check signs for Al-Qurm Park.
If you are in Muscat just about everyone knows this park so just ask.
