Sleepy, mostly abandoned fishing village. Gets busy with day-trippers at weekends
Oct 2020
Lovely spot to get away from it all and see Oman as it used to be. Gets very busy during the winter weekends. Now undergoing development with new hotel construction. Means access is now limted, possibly only for local residents.

Just another beach
Apr 2019
People tend to rave about this place, but to me it's just another nice beach. Oman, and the Muscat area, has plenty, some much nicer. What made this short trip for me was the drive, coming out of the top end of built-up Ruwi, up a steep climb and you are suddenly in a different world.

Nice Beach with scary background
Dec 2019 • Family
We had been here 2 Times during our visit to Oman. Very nice sandy Beach where people mostly come to have a picnic. It has no toilet or any shop nearby Just some abandoned house which makes this place a bit scary.

Beautiful hidden gem
Oct 2019 • Family
Yiti is a beautiful desert beach near a fisherman’s village. It’s quiet and peaceful, and the drive there is also nice, driving through the mountains and seeing plenty of donkeys and goats on the way (a highlight for kids). It’s possible to do a picnic there. We really enjoyed the place.

The drive there is way more spectacular than the beach itself
Dec 2018
Yiti is one of those places where the drive to it is actually way more spectacular than the final destination.

If you are heading there from Muscat make sure to take the old and winding Yiti Street which astarts in the Hamriyah district.

The beach itself seems to be popular with locals but it is certainly nothing you haven’t seen elsewhere.

Yiti Beach - back to nature
Oct 2019
Yiti Beach is a beautiful beach an hour drive from Muscat. Easy to get there via picturesque highways. The beach is free entry. You can get there without a 4W. There are no facilities (no toilets, no showers, no restaurants). There is little shade. Beach is great for swimming. Suitable for small children, too (waves are small). Year round good for weather and sea temperature.

Fantastic beach
Sep 2019
Probably one of the best beaches at of Oman at Crab Island, Yiti. Would be 5 stars easy, were it not for visitors littering. It gets cleaned up daily, but still... Suggestion - post plainclothes officials issuing fines. This place deserves to be preserved.

Yeti, the beach that comes like a jewel out of the village and off the mountains, surprising you with all the untouched beauty.Infortunately the old village is in shambles, but if you close your eyes ,still you can imagine the villagers rooming around.I have ties with this village, long ago ties when my little kid was jumping down the big rock on the beach going to lay in the small cove behind.Memories, memories that periodically pull me back, trying to find again the beautiful moments there with my friends. On weekends it is a bit crowded and you have to pay attention to the cars rooming on the sand.Pity they are not forbidden to cruise among people. They take away the magic.

Beautiful beach, with a lot of locals
Mar 2019 • Family
The beach is beautiful and there are a lot of locals going there. We've seen locals playing football, just walking and you couples. It is not an isolated place but it very easy to reach from Muscat by car.
