Course in very poor condition. Definition between fairway and rough is non existent. Greens were scruffy, inconsistent and visually unattractive. Grass on fairway, rough and tees was too deep. Balls landing on a fairway were sometimes difficult to find. Putting a tee peg in the ground was a waste of time as by the time the peg was in the ground the top was below grass level. Signage on the course to get you to the next tee was useless. Buggy was very tired, course satnav not working. However staff there tried their very hardest, but the raw material they have to work with just isn't there.

Fanstastic designed golf course into the landscape.... but - unfortunately at the moment - uncared and in real poor shape. Not worth the money right now. Very friendly stuff 👍

Went for breakfast with the family and have to say we were very disappointed. There appeared to be only a single staff on serving duty and the food took ages to arrive even though we were the only table occupied. The breakfast was meagre to say the least and items were missing from various plates. We wont be back!!

When arriving for an early tee-off (6:30AM), it was dark and no lights on. Clubhouse closed, but at bag-drop a very friendly gentleman assured us it would all be fine. 5 minutes later the clubhouse opened, very good rental set (Callaway X-Hot), time for tee-off!
Condition of the course was very good, except for one hole where maintenance was ongoing and we played on a temporary fairway. Even that was not bad at all.
Greens could have been a bit better and faster, but nothing to complain about.
Course layout is very good, with many challenging wadi's to hit over, so make sure you hit a proper shot from the box...
Pace of play was really good, we didn't wait at a single hole.
Al Mouj is a bit better maintained, but the fun-factor at Muscat Hills is higher.

Definitely a course to come back to.

Let's get one thing straight.... I live on Muscat Hills..... and I desperately want to support my local clubhouse but honestly I no idea how they have any business at all!?
My sister and family just arrived early this morning with two small children and thus wanted a chill out day catching up. So rather than slave over a stove cooking for all 8 of us, I suggested that we relax with a drink and have dinner at the clubhouse. Sensible, sa!
No! Worst decision in my life, we all waited 1hr 20mins for a simple meal, which is disgracefully slow, only for my meal to have been forgotten about and be served another 20mins later, after everyone else had finished! 1hr 40mins for a chicken curry! Seriously! That's absolutely shocking service!
I could have driven to Ruwi (30min drive from Muscat Hills), picked up a curry and returned quicker than they took to prepare the entire meal.
How am I supposed to support my local club with this pathetic service? And this isn't the first time I've had issues here!
There are plenty of other places nearby that you can consider first before wasting your time here!
Good luck!😡

`The club` has seen many changes over the years. They have recently constructed what can only be described as a large box to increase the indoor space which has ruined the terrace and lost any charm it ever had. The new management have tried to change too much in too short a space of time and this clearly has confused the staff. The food was always hit and miss but now they have reduced the menu to tasteless frozen pizza we dont even bother going there anymore. They never have any of the premium beers that you would expect from an international golf club and if I hear "next week sir new stock arriving " I will scream. It has forgotten perhaps that good people make good clubs. Before it was quite well managed and tried to focus on its members and players but it would appear not be be that way anymore. Im not sure what its focus is anymore. Im not sure they know either. We wont be going back anytime soon.

Grrr.. i was so angry that I could not speak! My family and me had booked a table at the club for semi finals fifa match but upon my arrival I was greeted with a confused look. No table and no accountability! How can this happen!! By the looks of it, we were not the only victims of their ‘do not care’ attitude. What was more aggravating was the attendants and the manager had no explanation but just a shrug!
Never going back there.

Resort type feel to this place, with a new Intercontinental hotel under construction in the middle. 'Club house' Terrace serves good coffee, great pies,a dn proper beer- perfect for post game relaxation. The course itself is very well kept and a challenging, parkland style, interspersed with deep wadis, some to drive through to transit to the next tee, some to drive over to carry to the next fairway or green. a pretty course, with plenty of shape in the ground and on the greens. Get the Entertainer for 2 for 1 offer on green fees which are expensive.

This a review about the golf course, the important stuff, not the showering facilities or cheesesburgers they serve.Pleasantly surprised with the layout which takes full advantage of the wadis and ravines that criss cross the course, the 12th par 3 being especially good.Found the greens to be in great condition, same for the fairways and the stratigically placed bunkers. Played the course twice in a week and on both occasions it was very quiet, price wise it was 25 OMR or 57€ when booking through golfscape.com which I thought was very reasonable. The only negative was the sprinkler system was still running on many of the holes when we were playing and as this was between 10 and 2, it shouldn´t really have been happenning. This is a well designed user friendly golf course which should appeal to all levels and which I will definately play again next time I´m back in Muscat.

The course is ok.
Maintained well.
No facilities. Forget showering after a game in the heat of summer.
Price they charge makes it all not worth it.
Course staff try their best
