This course was in perfect condition post the por tournament - tough greens and perfect fairways. Drawbacks were water lacking around the course and for a bit dehydrated. Also the continuous noise from the planes at the airport next door really means I do not want this otherwise lovely course as my home course - but always worth a visit.

This is a championship course, currently in condition for the Tour event at the end of February and you can tell. The course is currently in great condition and the greens are scary fast for the average golfer. When the onshore wind comes round it also becomes significantly more challenging, and it is long. A bit too dispiriting for the higher handicapper. Green fees are expensive and expect to lose a few balls, which at oncourse prices works out expensive. Decent bar service and good food, again not cheap. Driving range and par 3 floodlit course complete the set up; all of which will be closed for 3 weeks at the end Feb early march for the Tour event coming through. The Al Mouj 'lifestyle' development is beginning to encroach on the course and rumours suggest there will be development of clubhouse and loss of par 3, which I'm sure will have a negative impact. Birdwatchers treat though, there were probably 50 cormorants on one of the water features last weekend.

Spent a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon at the Al Mouj golf club at The Wave in Muscat. Course in excellent condition, with lot of holes overlooking the water. Great course to play at your own pace. Ahmed, the person running the Club, extremely pleasant and helpful. A most welcoming course for tourists. No handicap required.

A place worth visiting. The Green immaculately maintained for golf is a feast for the eyes. In addition it has an excellent restaurant open to non-members as well. it is slightly pricey, nonetheless excellent.
