We visited Philippe Martin on a bike tour of the Champagne region in April of 2016. Our guide gave us a tour of the champagne making areas explaining the process in great detail, concluding with a sampling of their fabulous products. Much better than the larger champagne producers we were given an intimate tasting of several of their varieties with very generous pours. The prices for purchasing were beyond reasonable as well. We were happy to bring home some bottles for our next special occasion. Highly recommend the visit.

Fabulous small champagne producer for 8 generations. We were able to take an interesting tour of the cellar and learn about the old and new production methods. The best part was tasting several champagnes that were very different from anything I had ever had. Wonderful experience.

Wonderful old cellars loaded with charm, and the tasting goes that step further with generous servings of very unique champagnes. Prices are less than most for exceptional wines, make sure you take some back with you. I'd suggest the Rosé de Saigné for it's colour and oak aging as well as the Dosage Zero ( no sugar added=pure champagne extra brut) for it's delicate vintage blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, also done in oak.

As part of our bike tour we were lucky enough to experience the Premier Cru Champagne house of Phillipe Martin and were treated to a tour of the underground cellars, where they make and bottle the champagne and we were able to sample and buy their fabulous bubbly direct from the maker. An authentic and intimate tour and personally recommended (not to mention affordable) Rosé!

Came here by boat from the campsite up the river on the recommendation of the lady who hires the boats out (Nautic Blue). Was the best champagne house we went to during our stay in Epernay and the best we tasted. A lovely family run business, we were showed round by Phillippe himself. His museum is absolutely wonderful and great to see how it is was done and how times have changed, even for a family run business he still has lots of champagne in the cellars! €8.00 gave a tour and one sample. Worth a visit and we would be returning.

My husband and I went on a bike tour of champagne with Bike About Tours (from Paris) and absolutely fell in love with Philippe Martin, his daughter Adeline and their champagne. This is the best champagne we have tasted in a long time and the price is very reasonable. M. Philippe makes a wonderful rose champagne using his own very distinct method. It's called "rose saignee" and definitely worth getting if you can. We are headed back there with a car soon and hope to stock up for our last 2 months in Paris!

A great champagne house as my client said,'This isn"t a tasting thsi is a party.'The rosés were good as was the champagne made from old vines. The cellar visit was both very clear and fun. Our guide even disgorged a bottle especially for my client.I'll be taking clients there again. Beware it's not easy to find because of a strange system of street numbering.

We arrived early Staurday morning to taste some of the champagnes. We had the most friendly welcome from the owner. He told us all we wanted to know about his champagne. A must visit.

We booked the Marguerite suite, which was a lovely, newly refurbished room,a salon and modern bathroom.
The location is perfect,in a quiet village,50 m from the splendid Marne for walks.
Friendly welcome, interesting tour of the cave and wonderful champagne to sample from the propriété.
Highly recommended.
