very close and nice playground equipment. The biggest draw back is No bathrooms, I have seen many parents helping their kids to go right in public and have even witnessed adults using a towel for a shield and going right there.

This park is close to our house, within biking distance so we go maybe every other month. It is rarely ever busy. Sometime we go and we are the only ones there. A few time we have gone and another family might show up. This is the starting location for a few of the community parades and events. It has a small covered playground, swings and picnic tables. There is some grass to run around in. A few benches to sit and watch you children. The ground cover in the playground is sand. Sometimes we bring sand toys and play. It is very quite.

Whispering Pines Park is surrounded on 2 sides by residential development, 1 side by a school, and 1 side by the Ned Glenn Nature Preserve. Sadly public access is not allowed to the nature preserve next door, but it must be for the benefit of the wildlife. The park is small and contains a covered playground and picnic area. Admission and parking are free. I wouldn't make a separate drive just to visit this location, but if I lived nearby or was in walking distance would probably visit often.
