The children might be bored walking around this abbey, but it is well worth a visit. Remarkable well preserved frescoes and a definite medieval feel to the place make it stand out and you can feel the history. Outside there is a tree lined car park and nearby there are traditional French brasseries which make it a delight to stop... More

This Abbey is decorated with frescoes. The nave has the Old Testament, mainly Adam, Noah, and Abraham, and deeper into the church are New Testament figures. Plus St. Michael, never quite sure where he belongs. (Isn't the war between the angels found in Milton? I am not a Bible scholar.) The frescoes are all very red, sepia, ochre, amber, yellow,... More
