Games Of Throne - Kastela Sup Tour

We are grabbing our boards and starting to paddle together into this journey. At the bottom of mountain Kozjak, forming the bay of Kastela. The barbarians devasted it in the early middle ages. The Croats settled here in the seventh century and created here the centre of their state. Thus, 500 years ago there was a significant development of some twenty castles, fortifications, of which nowadays only seven are preserved. Around them settlements were sprouting to finally merge together into the town of Kastela. Seven little stone pearls in one shell

We move on to the Kastel( fortification) built in 1529from the benedictine sisters, on a sea reef called Gomilica. The castle's entrance was protected by a tower erected above a stone bridge permeated with arcades. At the entrance there was a moveable wooden bridge. This Kastilac was one of the location of the well known GAMES OF THRONE SAGA.We will stop at the Kastilac, take a look into the building, take some pictures.

Our family of eight, three generations, was in food and wine heaven, not to mention the stunning setting of Bedalov Winery! The risotto won the "prize" but all food was delicious!!

Our group of 8 did a private wine tasting dinner in the vineyard. Jaska and his nephew were amazing in allowing us to customize our menu. We learned about the wines which were paired with prosciutto, cheeses, grilled veg, risotto and a yummy dessert. The scenery was beautiful and it was a very special night and one of the highlights of our trip to croatia.

My husband and I went to this winery for lunch and had a lovely time. It is so romantic & rustic and the views are absolutely spectacular! Here you get to enjoy their wine along with their freshly made food and home made bread, olive oil & wonderful service by the owners. This is a must do when you are in Split. We would come back here in a heart beat! Thank you again for this amazing experience!

Our group arrived at this small, what I would call rustic, winery which sits right in the water, so the setting is spectacular. We had their wines paired with some wonderful small bites that were interesting as well as being very scrumptious. Wonderful owners and the wines again were very good, especially their zin like wine. Highly recommended.
