Secret Surf school Tenerife born with the idea of transmitting surfing as a lifestyle. We love surfing and want to give you the opportunity to learn or develop that hobby. We have instructors with many years of experience and offer related to surfing such as classes Surf lessons are two hours long and they are divided into a theoretical and a practical part in the water In the course is included a wetsuit, a lycra, a surfboard, liability insurance and a medical insurance for accident Our qualified instructors speak several languages If you come with your own transportation (classes are developed in El Poris)

My girlfriend and I took a surf lesson with Israel and it was fantastic. The beach is perfect for learning surf and improve your skills. He is just the best teacher ever. Super clear and knowledgeable. He follows you for the whole two hours giving more and more advices and continuous feedbacks. We’ll definitely keep on coming to secret surf school Tenerife for becoming good surfers ;)

It was a great experience. Izra is a great instructor, he will teach you a lot. We had paid for a five-day course, for me it was already the second course (I was on Lanzarote in the first one), so I have some comparison. My wife surfed for the first time and she was also excited. When we go again, it will be this place again, super instructor and a beautiful and quiet little village. A completely different experience than overcrowded tourist center full of lazy people with all inclusive. Btw Secret Surf House is also participating on cleaning the coast, so they really love what they are doing and where they are doing it.

It was my first time surfing, and I think I found great place to do it. Our instructor was Israel who showed whats what in really good way, great sense when tell where you doing mistake and when let you practice on your own. Always happy and very helpful for everyone. For whole 3 lessons he created friendly atmosphere - I definitely would like to come back there. Thank you!

Booked a surf lesson for my 11 year old son directly with Gianfranco who runs the school. At the time of booking he asked my son's age and I told him he was 11 years old. That seemed to be fine and he booked us in for the next available class which was in a couple of days. We duly arrived with a very excited boy to join said class only to be told that my son was too young and couldn't take part. One very disappointed wee boy☹

There was a big deal of correspondence before hand with the school to arrange a lesson for our kids. The arrangement was finally scheduled. We arrived by the time scheduled only to find the lock on the door. It appeared they sent us a belated e-mail while we were on our way canceling the lesson for the reason of lack of waves. There is no need to say that waves were there as there were several surfers. Most likely the appointment was simply forgotten to be kept. What an unfortunate experience!

Dear customer, first of all we would like to thank you for choosing us and for sending us this opinion, which we consider constructive.
Since we are on really high season for Christmas Holidays and for personal problem we only have one Instructor this year was hard to organize a lesson for your young kids.
About the lesson scheduled we did not forget your appointment for sure! Our instructor, that had a hard time with the morning session due to lack of waves, decide to cancel the afternoon session in order to not waist our customer's money. The ocean unfortunately in unpredictable and from a not expert eyes could be different from reality, the people you see surfing ware in a surf spot not suitable for a surf lesson with kids! We have many years of experience and we know what we do.
It was a shame that we did not have your direct phone contact and I could just contact you with a simple email that you saw too late.
As wrote you already we will be happy to reschedule your kids lesson in order to give them the most beautiful experience that they deserve!

I have surfed a few times on nice sandy beaches so I wasn't sure that Las Americas beach was a good spot since it's all rocks. But I saw these guys had good reviews so I decided to try a class. EUR35 got me a 2 hr group lesson with all the kit. Rather than taking us to the central area where most classes are run, the instructor Franco took us all the way out to the point. Not sure if that was to avoid the other people or what. Once in the water you had to go far out to avoid the rocks to the point that the waves were huge. After wiping out a few times and ending up on picking my way out of the rocks I decided to call it a day. Our entire group of 6 strong guys in their 20s/30s was heading home after less than 1hr in the water, leaving the instructor happily surfing by himself. No one back at the surf shop seemed at all bothered that we all came home without him. In future I would avoid both this beach and this school. I am told there are much better surf beaches elsewhere on Tenerife.

Had a chance to try surfing here - it was such a big pleasure! Izra is fantastic teacher and buddy, he knows exactly what is preventing you from standing up on board and he fixes it immediately. Also the atmosphere is fantastic - really family-like :) 10/10 would recommend!

My instructor Israel was a great observer and helped me a lot with precise hints. I had several group and private lessons at the home spot, a beautiful sandy bay and at two different spots at Médano. The waves were small, but fun. You can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere a lot. At the surf shop you can use indo boards, skateboards, specially mounted board for practising pop up ... I got free water, free fruits and free hugs. Muchisimas gracias!

My 18yr old daughter likes surfing she normally does this in Cornwall we will be staying in Los Christinos in July she has her own wetsuit but because of the 15kg luggage allowance i do not want to pack this do you have wet suits that she can use. Also do you pick up from the hotel we will be a Paradise Park or do we have to make are own way there.

My family of 5 (ages 13-50) is arriving in Tenerife on Feb. 22 and staying through Mar 1. We live in Casablanca and have been surfing for about 6 months. We range from Adv Beginner to Intermediate.
