There is a reason the reviews are so good for this place. I brought 3 beginners here last week and afterwards they all talked about taking up horse riding full time!. This place is amazing. I was never big into horses but after visiting Ballyhoura horse trekking I have changed my mine. The views alone are amazing. The professionalism of Johnjoe and the gang and the gentle nature of the animals would put anyone at easy. Our seven year old wants to do this every weekend. At one point on the... More

My partner (who hasn't ridden before) was understandably nervous, however Sarah did a fantastic job of ensuring he was OK, and kept the ride to a pace that was perfect for him. It was a beautiful ride, and the horses are great.

We took a two hour horse ride into the mountains with a few stops along the way. John Joe was an excellent guide. Amazing views and beautiful mountains and don't worry, if you'r timid around the houses they provide a little "liquid courage" along the way.

My husband and I work/volunteer around horses alot, but did not have much proper instruction in riding. Johnjoe and Sarah, did an amazing job at allowing us to truely experience horse treking, pushing our abilities and allowing us to figure things out! Their company was great, and the views breath taking! This was much more than a simple walk/trail. We... More

JohnJoe went out of his way to take us out on a ride. We needed to leave in the afternoon so he took just the two of us out on a ride at 11am. The horses were very well behaved and the views were fantastic by horseback. If you are interested in seeing this beautiful part of the world I... More
