This is a brilliant service well worth the money for anyone who needs it. My friend and I both hired electric bikes because of my mobility issues which I explained to the gentleman who runs the business. He took both our needs on board and was very understanding and able to suggest which bikes would suit our different needs. He is very friendly and considerate. I was confused about charging my battery and the following day he simply put another 1 on for me fully charged.
My friend had issues with her charging and when I rang the gent he even offered to come out to our accommodation to help us. He couldn't be more helpful.
Being novices, his patience and kindness was invaluable and fully appreciated. He has a lovely sence of humour too.

Poor bikes. Rude owner. Double booked and canceled us. Bike failed and tried blaming me (im a mechanic so didn't work out in his faviour) then tried charging me for his poor maintanance

It was fabulous. The Owner was helpful and the bikes were in tip top condition. We had electric bikes and the thrill of riding around St. Mary's was a highlight of our day visit. We had just got off the cruise but the sun shone and 4hrs was wonderful

very friendly and knowledgable great service - so easy to pedal around or use an electric bike like we did, they are also dog freindly too so thats a bonus! people on the isle are very bike friednldy too everyone waits and just overtakes you in their cars when they can I felt really safe, and this was our first visit.
The guys showed us how to use the gears and explained the electric bike to us so we knew how it worked - we had a fab couple of hours going round St Mary's such a lovely place will lovely polite people and very clean indeed :)

The owner had a booking from us for a mobility scooter for the MIL we checked a number of times to confirm. 12 hrs before collection he canceled with a poor excuse then we seen it booked out to someone else for a week! He was capitilising on best booking regardless who booked 1st.
Other issue were poor bike maintained, mine kept jumping gears, buckled wheel, loose head stock. Fortunately/ unfortunately I'm ex mechanic so I was able to fix some bits but tore the bike apart .
Area that need addressing Keep your promises. Service and check the bikes.
Next time I'm brings our bikes o the ferry. Its not that expensive! Check scilonians prices 1st

Great service, lovely and helpful guys. Renting bikes on St.Mary’s is surely the best way to get around. We got a flat tyre on our last day and they were with us within 10minutes to pick our bikes up.

The 70s was my cycling years, so I was rather tentative about bike hire. And rightly so, weaving about like a novice, pushing rather than peddling up inclines, and giving way to motorised vehicles. Indeed in our week of wall to wall sunshine I lost half my weight in sweat. But I enjoyed the day's hire. OK, not the best nick bike - even taped up - but adequate. Prices range per type of bike and between half or full day. £15 pppd is roughly OK. The guys were fine with us, functional more than friendly - no complaints on that score. Not too bad a way to see much of the island. It seems fairly safe to leave your bike and potter where bikes go not.

We hired a couple of electric bikes and had a fantastic day cycling around St. Mary’s.
We turned up early without a booking and the two gentlemen kindly helped us adjust our seats and set us on our way with helmets and a cycle map - word of advice, the cycle map is the best map available for the whole island! (We still use it!)
The electric bikes were fantastic and made cycling uphill a breeze and enable you to visit as many landmarks as possible. Well worth it and really friendly couple of chaps that helped us on the day. Thanks again 💪🏼🚲

Hired the tandem for a days touring of the Island
Very friendly and supportive staff, patient with all customers, whatever their needs and experience.
Would highly recommend. It’s also a lovely way to get around the island to explore.

Great bikes and fast efficient service. The best way to explore the island. It’d help less experienced bikers if they showed customers how to work the gears and advised them of a good lane to practise on. Always ask for the gel saddle cover!

Unfortunately whilst we're unable to stock adult 3 wheelers we do have a wide range of bicycles suitable for all ages and abilities. What is available is a 2 wheeled tag along which is a trike/trailer that is towed behind another bike. It is versatile but is not suitable for everyone. It needs a willing partner to ride the lead bike and is guaranteed to attract comment. If you'd like to contact us directly to discuss your needs we'd be happy to talk you through the options St Mary's Bike is able to offer.
