The cave is beautiful, and it's close to Belo Horizonte, so you should consider visiting it if you are travelling to Belo Horizonte. Parque Estadual do Sumidouro is also nearby and you get a discount if you buy both tours together (they are both guided tours).

The cave is located just a few miles from the city of Lagoa Santa, so it is possible to have lunch in this city before visiting the cave. There are also some restaurants on the way to the cave that serves regional food. The place where the cave is has a good structure, which includes two small museums. The visit... More

A beautiful place to visit and to learn more about caves and nature. The guides are very polited and respectful. Since you're there, go to the museum inside the park area and learn more and more with Erika's help.

This cave is not huge, but quite spectacular. Over 500 meters in length with amazing formations. (Reminder - Stalactites hang from the ceiling, the other ones are stalagmites....) Reasonably priced, easily accessible, and ample parking. The pavilion at the state park is very nice with a small coffee shop and store. Staff was very friendly and the tour of the... More

This is a nice place to visit. You can know the history of the Caves and the rock formations. Only I don't really think it's worth it if you're far away. Like it's a really short visit. Less than an hour I would say in total.

One cannot believe that nature can form this kind of things with water ! They give the guests a lot of access to places that probably we can´t see around the world. The food is average, the restrooms are average.

The cave has "rooms" with amazing shapes formes over millions of years. It's a place worth visiting by its natural beauty, besides the museum with lots of pieces of fossils and a bit of the history of the region.
