If you pass by please stop and enjoy this little village. With its cobblestone paths and small artisans shops it is extremely charming. Don’t pass by any small path in this village as there is a surprise waiting to be discovered. It won’t take long to visit but it is definitely worth it.

What a beautiful place. I highly recommend parking in the lot or on the street (plenty of parking) in the new calcata and walking on the path from the parking lot. Stunning views of old calcata and from it out.

Before i came here, i read all the comments on tripadvisor. One of them was 'calcata is overrated'. Dont be deceived it. I have never seen a place like this. Also there is a few cafe around there. They are all cute. I sat a place randomly. Unfortunately i forget take a photo because of taste cakes.

We travelled to Calcata by car. It was an amazing view as you approach the city. You enter via a two car street. Parking is on the sides of the street and parking right before you enter the city. But be aware not too many parking spots. There are a lot of shops that sell souvenirs and a lady the sells the most comfortable pants, shirts and dresses. They’re bohemian-like. I bought and love it. Another shop sell Lester good. Also good buy and I bought many for friends. There’s also a cafe-type place to purchase food. Then you start walking towards the entrance of Calcata. It’s very impressionable. Archways are beyond beautiful. You have to walk up since it’s on hills. So basically you climb up to the city. Every corner holds a beautiful space of history. We went to the chords there. It’s very pretty. What I saw, I loved. It started to rain and we had to cut our visit short and head back to the cars. I can tell you that we’re planning our next trip and Calcata is on it. We want to see the whole city.

I hope you’ll see it. Take a chance and see for yourself.

The view from the bridge is quite stunning.

A great end of an afternoon visit. Took about 1.5 hrs to cover the whole town and was finished with a fantastic 'gelati' at the small bar on the way into the town.

Don't know how to explain this place. One of the most unique places i ever visited. very narrow streets, picturesque alleys, houses and people. Paradise spot for photographers. We were a party of 5, 4 adults and a child. Majority of us enjoyed this place but one of us wasn't impressed. Maybe due to her phobia of pigeons, which seem to have found a permanent shelter under the main entrance of the sheltered town gate.

Personally i really enjoyed this place due to its uniqueness and photo opportunities. Only negative point about this place is the lack of parking space.

First of all the good: The approach and view is awesome. The entrance gate area to the village is awesome. Sadly that is where the good ends. Be prepared for at least a half mile walk from the for pay car-park to the village. It is mostly downhill with steps (remember this on the way back).

The village appears to be somewhat run down/shoddy with lots of pigeon poop/cat piss smells. The small coveys are interesting but there are other sites in Europe like this with much more to offer.

I have to say, this was one of the most spectacular places I have visited in all of Europe, I fell in love, I felt like Rapunzel hanging over the walls looking far off into the distance. It is an absolute must see. I would recommend this visit to anyone. It is truly magical, it was like walking through times and landing centuries behind.
