We walked into town (about 5 minutes from our accommodation in Fisher Lane - see separate review on Rosehip Cottage), primarily to see the awesome Market Cross (and I have included a photo of the Market Cross, as it doesn't have it's own entry on TripAdvisor, but is worth a look), and kept walking into the Churchyard of St Mary and All Saints.
It has some very old gravestones; some of the slate ones are in wondrous condition.
Anyway, we stayed quite a while as we became entranced with the squirrels racing around the gravestones and up and down tree trunks.
A nice setting.

We visited this church while we were in Bingham as it is only a short walk away from the market place.
It has a lovely old Lynchgate dating back to 1881 although the church dates from before that and there is a lovely tower with a clock.
The church stands in its own grounds and there is a footpath running through it. We didn't get a chance to look inside this time but the windows looked lovely in the sun light.
